I still hate it that if I fall asleep without turning off the t.v. that either Billy Mays or Vince with the chopper or sham wows will invariably wake me! I have nightmares that someday Billy Mays might play "the ghost of Christmas past" and blow everyone's ear drums out!

Billy Mays' commercials annoyed the hell out of me, but I felt so sad when I heard of his death at a relatively young age. I admired how he established himself as a pitchman. No one did it better.... I was surprised that Fox News never made Billy Mays an anchor of one of its hour-long time slots. I can visualize how Billy Mays would have pitched right-wing views, making Sean Hannity seem like a weak sister. Fox News would have soared in the ratings!

50 is young to die. However, I always hit the mute button as fast as I could when Mays came on shrieking and shouting... about what? Don't remember the products, sure remember him. That doesn't make for good product advertising (I know, I worked in the ad business). I hate commercials where the pitch person screams in my face. It's offensive. I'm not deaf and I'm not stupid. But I'm still sorry he died so young.

Yeah, MSM stated he died from crack or cocaine over dose--that wasn't even true...sick people.

No 'Green Oval'. Nothing green on the screen whatsoever. Fire your webmaster.

Of Course

He was a great pitchman. If you don't remember him your memory stinks.

He was the best out there. I am surprised that you weren't aware that he was in your building.

Billy Mays was a very enthusiastic ad man for whatever product he was promoting. Had to laugh at one of his last pitches that promoted Health Insurance. Guess we can use that "magical putty" to fill the gaps in that one huh?

I remember when he died we were all glad we wouldn't have to listen to his VERY LOUD voice anymore but we forgot about reruns!
