President Bush 41

We just left President Bush 41 and Mrs. Bush. We did the interview with the President about the wall coming down here in Berlin but, as so characteristically President Bush, he doesn't take credit for what he did during those times. President Bush is a very modest person. At the time, if you remember, France (Mitterand) and England (Thatcher) were opposed to or not crazy about the idea of a ... read more

Walking with FNC's Scott Heidler/Pakistan

The best way to learn about a place is to find someone who has lived there for a long time and walk around.  We did exactly that with FNC's Scott Heidler -- who may know more about Pakistan than anyone else! So now ... read more

Quick note

(A quick note...and at least one reason why I am glad I am not Secretary of State! The job is not easy. It may even be impossible.) We are in Islamabad, Pakistan and it is about four am. The airport was like a ghost town so we moved through customs fast.
