G...I really like this picture of you and Sen Gregg. I've never seen you wear that blazer before.

I thoroughly agree with Senators Gregg, Conrad and Lieberman. Hard choices need to be made. Listening to Senator Whitehouse, I believe his objections to be somewhat illusory. Let's take one small part of health care. Information sharing. On a recent visit to one of my little's doctors there was some missing info on a test result. I asked about Health care IT. Dr. said it's atleast 10 years off. 2 reasons. Differences in software make filing sharing unreadable from one location to another. A nationwide system(i.e vhs or beta) would need to be agreed upon and implemented. 2. Cost of such implementation. Health systems across the nation spend 10’s of millions of dollars to install, train and implement their IT networks, most aren’t willing to give them up yet, and in the current somewhat hostile environment toward profit for capital investment, changes aren’t likely in the near future. So Congress expecting to save health care dollars in the next decade is a little far fetched.

I voted for bill clinton back when, TODAY HE INSULTED A many of american taxpayers, a retired president should never call americans names , calling us ,(tea baggers ) showed he does not respect us all equally. he showed no class today! just because its behind closed doors is no excuse. how they forget ! he lost my respect today!name calling in any form ,from any president is a disgrace . its insulting! it shows non leadership, has bill clinton lost it?has he sold his soul /pride to the left?

Re: Senate Budget Committee hearing on National debt. You gotta see it. At the end, Senator Whitehouse "woke up" and disclaimed any appearance of his agreement with what had just been discussed.

Stephen Joseph, Thanks for the info, listening to Senator Lieberman. He is on target.

I heard this senator was a target of the tea baggers. They're going to try to get rid of him next time around. They also have their sites on Charle Crist, Carly Fiorina and Kay Bailey Hutchison. Darth Vader won't like them messing with Kay.

Please, if your staff wasn't watching the Senate Budget Committee hearing on the National Debt, you want to review it!

I just watched the Senate Budget committee re: National dbt on c-span. First full hour of truth telling I've heard in an awfully long time. It was almost as if they forgot they were were being broadcast. Senator Greg obviously has an affect on them with his moral leadership. The four testifying before the commission, including, two former heads of CBO were particularly candid and gave an earful on our real situation and more interestingly a candid assessment of the health cre bills and their imp
