    Healthcare: what is next?

Two powerful US Senators went ON THE RECORD at 10pm last night.  If you missed it, click and watch now.  (And by the way, they give you the inside scoop on what might be happening...)

    Sen. Mitch McConnell (full):

    Sen. Jon Kyl (full):

James

I lived in Paris, France for more than two years. You can't believe how much I was taxed and in how many ways for their health care. They had tort reform, doctors were required to work at public clinics every week to support their system that was operating in the red due to immigrants from Algeria comming over to leach on their system. There is nothing the government can provide that we can't provide for our selves and cheaper.

Do Democrats really want government controlled health care if the Republicans are running it?

Now this post below, I agree with 100 percent! Healthcare for all/Diana Report I would say that the government spending maybe 100 billion a year on the 20 milion uninsured would be better than this complete overhaul, costing trillions. They have medicaid in place already and they should allow the uninsured on the medicaid plan instead. As far as job's I am right there with ya on that point..That's why I mentioned that he really doesn't beleive in capitalism, and that's why there are NO jobs anymore. This healthcare bill is totally wrong, with the economy in this shape!!!!

Kiai---I really get tired of hearing that the insurance companies are sooooo greedy. Their average profit margin is 2.2%...I don't call that outrageous greed. That doesn't mean that there aren't problems (like pre-conditions, fraud, high medical cost etc) that we should be focusing on, but none will be fixed without honesty.

As for me, I thought it was very informative, loved the Interview.

Don't Waste My Time

I didn't watch these two REPUBLICANS on your show, but I am psychic. Let me guess what they said about healthcare reform. "NO!" Am I right? What a colossal waste of time watching them would have been! Your time and our time would have been better spent if you had interviewed Representative Session (R-TX) and asked him why he believes women should be treated like chronic smokers by health insurance companies. /s/ Brick

Kent YES Fair & Balanced

What is your definition of "Fair & Balanced"? On the Record & Fox can still be fair and balanced, if the other side declines to particpate. If one side declines to particpate in interviews, when asked, such as demonstrated by the WH, is it the news organization fault? I think not! If a party declines to particpate in interviews they are the only ones to blame for a one-sided story. And if that 'party' is intimidated by Fox questions, then how do they deal with foreign powers. Hmmmm.

I live on the border of Canada and have many Canadian friends. The come here by the droves to have medical care that they have to wait for in Canada. My husband and I used to go to Florida for the winter and we had a Canadain friend who had a heart attack while in Florida. The hospital told Canada that our friend needed bypass surgery or she would die. They had purchased the insurance as they were staying in the USA for the winter. They were refused and Canada sent a plane for them. She died.

MK,MO healthcare bill will be nothing more than a law forcing people to buy overpriced insurance from a corrupt and greed riddled industry by the time the Senate gets done with it, and thats why it will pass because it is yet another tool for the rich to extract what little money is left from the working class. It's not a liberal or conservative issue folks, thats just what is used to distract people from the common goal of making the rich richer ** YOU'VE JUST DESCRIBED TODAYS INSURANC

Great interviews Greta! Wow, I should taken more government classes in college! I didn't realize the machine was so cumbersome, but I am glad there are many "checks & balances" in the Senate. Did the stimulus package go through this process? I am glad some Democrats are standing up and not walking the party line! IMO I would say the tea parties are working! Thanks for covering these types of stories and asking questions that educate us.

This is very fair and balance; two senators from the same party touting the same message. So I guess this means that FOX is Fair and Balance within it's own Ranks and a competing opinion is not that important. This is one of the worst clips that Greta could have posted on Twitter; Clueless!!!

OF WHAT MIGHT BE HAPPENING??????? That is why Fox is called fair and balanced. Also Saturday Night lIve gave a good parady of what Fox is really like, but didn't quite get as crazy as Fox really is. Evidently Glen Beck is hitting the bottle.

Democrats want Socialized Medicine

Democrats and Progressives are doing everything they can to cram socialized govt run healthcare upon our country. Why is it that they have been regulating the Medicare Advantage plans out of business since 2007 when they took control of congress? They also have H.R 684 ready to take out all private Part D Rx plans and control seniors prescriptions. This will be a disaster. Seniors, wake up!

November 10, 2009 at 2:39 pm

MK,MO

Greta although I also want this so-called healthcare legislation to fail, be it for far different reasons than you neocon-conservatives, it would of been nice of you to include an opposing view to the clowns you taped, why do you think people chuckle at FAIR AND BALANCED? please
