America Needs closer . The government is keeping us from getting it . How many times do veterans and the true Americans have to get spit on and slapped in the face before we get closre. Passage of the massive and ill-conceived Democratic health reform bill in the U.S. House of Representatives came this past weekend with the help of Lorain County's two representatives Betty Sutton and Marcy Kaptur, both Democrats. Kaptur also represents Erie County. We hope for their sake those two will be fortunate enough to see this nanny state vision of health reform come to naught in the Senate, as appears likely.

Very interesting piece on the Iran hostages. Your piece was slanted more on the administration point of view. However, there were many of us over there that thought we should have pulled out sooner than we did.
Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan demonstrated many things when he allegedly committed treason in the war on terror. For starters, he showed -- gratuitously alas -- that evil is still thriving.
He demonstrated that being a trained psychiatrist provides no immunity to ancient hatreds and religious fanaticism, nor does psychiatric training provide much acuity in spotting such things in others. For example, the London Telegraph reports that, in what was supposed to be a medical lecture, Hassan instead gave an hourlong briefing on the Koran, explaining to colleagues at Walter Reed Army Medical Center that nonbelievers should be beheaded, have boiling oil poured down their throats and set on fire.
I have noticed the way BO salutes the soldier when he embarks from his airplane, and usually it is little more than an arm movement, playing the game. I wish the soldier didn't have to salute BO, cuz he doesn't deserve the honor.
Greta: I would like to see the language in the Health care bill that states you will be fined or sent to jail if you don't comply with the government program or purchase health care. This is scaring people to death!

But here's what Obama said 1 day after his buddy got arrested, "(CNN) -- President Obama said that police in Cambridge, Massachusetts, "acted stupidly" in arresting a prominent black Harvard professor"
So as POTUS he gets to rush to judgement but we don't. And the sad part is he is wrong in both cases. The cop was right to arrest his friend and he's wrong about Ft. Hood. It is terror.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, 44% of the members of Congress are millionaires as compared to 1% of Americans overall---and this doesn't include the values of their personal residences. These people don't live in the same world we live in. They know nothing of the hardship the average American is facing now.
Without excusing the NM soccer player, what about her coach? The camera seemed to be pretty much trained on this player. Could it be that she was known for this type of play? In 3 years, surely her coach was aware. Why is the discipline and disgrace focused on only her? Was she suspended for her rough play, or for getting caught?
You asked "Did you suspect anything?" and "Did you report anything?" Well, I can say "Yes" for over 4 years and I have yet to get acknowledged for my concerns.

I would love to see Barney Frank get popped with a random drug test. I feel he is lying about not knowing what pot plants look like and he has probably smoked it with Obama.
