OTR Producer Justin Wells just send me the text and pics below from his cellphone.  He is in Texas:

Just landed at fort hood-  Pic attached of the small area to the 6 gates at the commercial airport near Fort Hood.   The roof has a banner on it that says 'army strong'

FORT HOOD MASSACRE AN ACT OF RADICAL ISLAM TERRORISM.

FORT HOOD MASSACRE AN ACT OF RADICAL ISLAM TERRORISM. The SHOOTER used an FN 5.6 mm assault pistol, a specialized weapon designed to kill a whole bunch of people. The FN 5.7 is a semi-automatic pistol that fires an extremely high-powered, small caliber, armor-piercing bullet at a velocity of 2,000 feet per second from a 30-round magazine. Its destructiveness is comparable to that of an M-16 in semi-automatic mode. This is not the type of weapon an average person selects and learns to use in a visit to a local gun store. People who “flip out” and go on a killing spree usually use a traditional weapon, such as a .357 magnum revolver or a 9 mm pistol. And they usually aim there violence towards a specific group of people with whom the have a grudge. Terrorists, however, aim there violence indiscriminately at a group of innocent people they don’t even know! LIKE HASAN DID. If Hasan, a known disgruntled Muslim, was angry for being ‘picked on,’ he would have gone to the location where those people could be found. He didn’t. All the facts indicate that Hasan was an Islamic radical who committed a terrorist act and that he had been schooled or trained in the choice and use of the “cop killer” weapon by another terrorist. WHO & WHERE? Hopefully the “investigation” will not become a 'politically-correct' cover-up.

Thomas, I respectfully disagree. What Hasan did is not exactly a daily occurrence here at Ft. Hood. I told someone this the other day: I have lived here for 6.5 years & never once felt insecure or unsafe on post. I went the day after the shootings with 2 of my children and we had no fear. My 9 yr old knows exactly what happened and where and he also was fine. The soldiers I've heard talking about this have not expressed fear. If anything, they're more aware of those around them.

i THINK THE THOUGHTS OF MILITARY PERSONNELL ARRIVING MUST BE BE FULL OF CONFUSION AND FEAR.

WE ARE STRONG AND GIVE 100% SUPPORT TO OUR TROOPS. the so called commander in chief is another story that the so called media wont criticize. Laura and George Bush went there Friday one day later no media. were is obama at camp Davis and people said Bush had to may vacations.

The sign makes me laugh. I've seen it so much that seeing it posted in a blog like this is funny. The military community here will - and has - come together to heal. The families of the victims will always be considered part of the Army family and are usually taken care of pretty well.

Too sad. :0( I am praying for the families of our beloved soldiers. I can't imagine what a nightmare this has to be for them. May God guide them through their grief in the days ahead. Words can never make up for this kind of loss.

We honor all the sacrifices that our Military and their families make to protect our nation. Those who were affected by this tragic attack at Fort Hood will not be forgotten and will always have a very Special Place in all of our hearts!

We the people, not necessarily our Government, are a strong Country with strong values and seemingly we are learning the lessons of not having to be "politically correct." What has being "politically correct cost us at Fort Hood? We can't ever really measure the cost of the loss there. What amazing leaders did we loose and contemplate their lineage...lost forever...
