See below - in orange - the headline and part of a front page story of the New York Times...and ask yourself, is the New York Times drinking something?
I don't know about you, but are some (New York Times?) trying to drum up sympathy for the guy who gunned down 13 innocent people? See below... Listened to "painful stories?" We should feel sympathy? Is that an excuse, an explanation, a reason for killing 13 that he HEARD painful stories???? Listened to? Is that what the New York Times suggests? We should somehow understand? or feel sorry? Not me....not for one second.
How about those on the battlefield who have ACTUALLYLIVED those painful stories and DID NOT MURDER 13? You know..the ones out in the hot, hot desert....in danger every second of an IED or other...working around the clock..away from their families ...worried sick about their families as their families worry about them...not the ones who sit in the chairs in air conditioned or heated rooms a few hours a day and go home at the end of their day to their homes and family.
And how about those other therapists who have likewise HEARD painful stories and who don't murder 13?
It also occurred to me...many of these retold stories of pain are what we pound into people every day in violent movies - they thus see and hear - so if we are going to feel boo hoo for this killer because of the impression stories played on him we ought to re-evaluate the movies we make. Just a thought...

Many of the patients who fill the day are bereft, angry, broken. Their experiences are gruesome, their distress lasting and the process of recovery exhausting. The repeated stories of battle and loss can leave the most professional therapist numb or angry.....Many military professionals, meanwhile, describe crushing schedules with 10 or more patients a day, most struggling with devastating trauma or mutilated bodies that are the product of war and the highly advanced care that kept them alive....
I say "DEATH BY A THOUSAND CUTS" ADMINISTERED BY THE FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE VICTIMS. How long are we going to tolerate people whose religion advocates killing Americans living in our country?
The reason many people do to admit the man at Fort Hood is a radical terrorist Muslim, is because they are afraid. They know Obama plainly stated in "Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." They are afraid, because they understand where the loyalties of the US Presidents lie. President Obama so for has always taken the side of dictators, like when he sit back and watched the Iranian people being murdered in the street after the last ACORN like rigged election there.
I can't help but wonder why people stay in a country that they hate. Why didn't this guy go back to the place that his parents came from? The problem is, the parents want their children to grown up with the traditions of the country they come from so, why even move to the US. Why not stay where you are if you are not prepared to integrate. Whatever the reasons, no one has the right to kill anyone and those who defend it are very irresponsible.
I was amazed to discover that some of the men I work with served in the U.S. military BEFORE they became U.S. citizens. I'm wondering two things here: WHY are non-citizens allowed to serve in the military, and also, if they are patriotic enough to want to serve BEFORE they become legal citizens, why aren't they granted automatic citizenship upon completion of their service? Some of our policies are INSANE! It's a wonder that we haven't had more of the Ft. Hood-type incidents!
Lieberman is taking responsibility for the safety and security of this country. Where are the dems? They think it is politically incorrect to use the words: terrorist, Muslim extremist or even consider this a possibility. "Man made disaster" is the most benign phrase ever created to describe such evil. I hope this is investigated thoroughly, we need truth. No matter what his motive may be, he isn't a victim. Our honorable military personnel were the innocent, vulnerable victims slaughtered.

How's this for a plan? We nurse this guy back to health, and then waterboard him. I'll bet we find out why he did what he did! You never know - he might have sympathizers within the military - maybe even accomplices. This was no accident of insanity. This action on his part was deliberate and planned well in advance. Do people realize that according to the Koran, any action - no matter how violent or "warped" - is acceptable if it "furthers the cause of Allah"? SCAREY!!
There is no reason for anyone to feel sorry for a murderer. It will not be tolerated for any reason. If he did not want to be in the army, he shouldn't have enlisted. If he couldn't help our returning troops, he should have been smart enough to get help and leave the profession. There are many excuses for what he did but there are no reasons that can possibly explain the hatred in that man's heart.

He probably planned it so that he can claim temporary insanity and get off without punishment. People should not be fooled by this particular muslim's intentions. He has been reported and his attitudes have been complained about prior. The only reason, ONLY REASON, something was not addressed about his earlier actions is for fear of discrimination. Upside down.

How many of our citizens and our troops will have to die before we the people stand up to the idiots running our country and hold them accountable for putting leftist political correct standards above their Constitutional duty to defend America and American citizens??? How many more will die because of the insane decisions of our PC leaders? We can't even question our enemies without fearing punishment for fear of hurting their feelings!!
Maj. Hasan has committed an act of Treason against the United States and should be shot by a firing squad of all women for his crimes. There is no excuse for him. Period.

If Hasan really was that depressed and whatever others are claiming wouldn't he just have killed himself? If he was afraid to go to Afghanistan he would have just committed suicide and end his misery. There is NO reason to kill others because he is depressed. This explanation from the NYT makes NO sense whatsoever! He was so mad that this war went on that he wanted to prevent others from going. Plain and simple. No depression no excuses!
