Not since Richard Nixon have I been so disgusted by the political process. Now, Watergate seems like a fly on an elephant! When the media starts a campaign of dis-information it is hard to tell the truth from lies. I am ashamed to be a Democrat and have my name somehow associated with the clowns that pushed that bill through! It is the single most irresponsible act of Congress ever! In the debate, the Dems used pure emotion without one fact since they had none.
When the Republican Rep pointed out that "health care czars" would be appointed to oversee health care, that reaffirmed my opposition to this Bill. If this horrific, misguided and fatal Bill becomes law, then November 6, 2009, will also be remembered as a date that will live in infamy - the day America became a Socialist nation: the U.S.S.A. Elections have consequences. I fear that the consequences of 2008 will be irreversible. At least I can say I lived when America was a free Nation.

I'm in favor of Health Care Reform... This is just not the right way. What we need is to push fore Tort reform. Open ended law suits are insulting! There's where your health care costs are being driven up. Along with that, Lets let insurance companies vie for business across state borders.
That along with improving Medicade and stopping the previous conditions clause in insurance would move gove us a better health care system.

They should be let know that everything possible will be done to see they are not reelected. Our Country is being destroyed by these corrupt people. The American people MUST take back our Country. I watched the debates on C-span. After listening to Rep Bohner of ohio read the sections of the bill that essentially gives unlimited power to a new "health czar" I am more opposed than ever. Only a far left liberal or progressive would ever vote to pass such a bill that will require massive taxation of the middle class. There is nothing in this bill that requires verification of citizenship to receive health coverage. American cannot afford to provide health care to the world! Wake Up America!
We are having our country taken from us. the states are losing their power and are becoming irrelevant. We are printing money almost ads fast as we spend it and we are headed for some hard times. Listen to Peter Schiff. He was spot on 3 years ago about our current situation today and He is forecasting even harder times ahead. I am worried as an Christian, an American, a father of 5 and an businessman with a company to keep solvent. I pray to God that we wake up and take action next election.

I am a currently unemployed early childhood educator and don't claim to be brilliant, but even with my basic understanding of economy I am aware that our economy cannot survive this much debt over time. It can be covered and hidden, more money can be printed, money can be taken from the "wealthy" and given to the less fortunate, and our government can run like the big corporations it feels so imperative to help.
Get real, to their credit, they are not even promising that. "smaller increases" is what they say. This is horrific and they aren't done yet. With little manufacturing left, our Government's veracious appetite for spending while borrowing (because our country has no money) is causing exploding deficits and a worthless dollar. Remember how the media screamed in 2007 that George Bush was running a $300 billion deficit? As they say, "You ain't seen nothing yet"
