3 ROARS on the House Floor (behind the scenes)

Email note (below) from FNC Producer Lee Ross on Capitol Hill for the vote:

Subject: RE: Urgent: House passes health care bill

If you didn't see it...there were THREE separate roars from the Democrats on the House Floor.

The first came when the vote tally hit 218. The second came at the end of a countdown the members were giving as the time on vote was coming to an end--even though all of the members had already finished voting with several minutes left. And then the largest cheer came after Speaker Pelosi announce the result. Here is the log:

    Final Passage PASSES

23:07:35 Cheering on the House Floor for the vote tally to hit 218

23:14:25 Dems counting down clock to end of vote

23:15:04 Speaker Pelosi Announces Passage of Health Care Bill 220-215

Pelosi: "The Bill is Passed" [LARGE ROAR OF APPLAUSE]

They are about to hear the American people roar and not in appreciation for the rape that these people just performed. Vote these jerks out of office pronto! Anybody that has been there two terms or more needs to go.

Since the Democrats are so determined to shove this horrendous bill down our throats, and since someone has to pay for it, I vote to suspend the cushy benefits and wages we pay them and put this money towards the government health plan they are forcing on us.

I would like for the Dems to explain to me why I would want their plan, which costs $1.2 TRILLION, and virtually removes most of MY options for health care, when the Repubs' plan would actually lower costs, make insurance and health care more affordable to more people without penalizing employers, individuals, insurance companies, or doctors, and it only costs $61 BILLION. They need to do the math. Get the lawyers out of the equation, and we'll save even more.

Greta, Now is the time to ask any of the democrats or the 1 lone republican to come on your show for the HealthCare Quiz where you put all the 2000+ bill papers in a big tumbler and pull one out at a time to ask them to explain it on tv to the American people. If they get it wrong, they have to take the same healthcare that they all want us to receive vs the one that they have now. I bet you not one will be honorable enough to be willing to respond and take you up on it.

Arrogance and money is a way of life for politicians in Washington. They are all ingratiating and corrupt. Nancy Pelosi knew exactly what the vote count would be on the Healthkiller Bill before the vote was called for. Bribe money used in Washington very freely comes from the tax payers. The "Blue Dog Democrats" are DISINGENUOUS. Corruption continues in our government. This bill is the first step into Socialism and will continue until we vote them out of office. We must now focus on Senators with Credibility and Integrity if there are any.

If you want to know what the payoff was for the endorsements go to thehill.com and see what the AMA and AARP got for theirs! Then tell me we don't have a corrupt government!

S. Poland

I can't help but wonder what did Obama give to the AMA and AARP to get their endorsements? Wonder what the Congress reps got to vote yes on Pelosi's bill? We have a corrupt government that can be bought, I wonder what our founding fathers are thinking about it? Now our fight must continue on to the senate now where if they are fond of our Constitution they will let the bill die. To threaten to put American citizens in jail for not having health coverage is crueland unusual punishment!

I think they should practice what they preach at conservatives and maintain decorum and not do this in your face celebrating! But I also noticed that David Obey never told the gallery to stop clapping when they carried on after a liberal said something. He did tell them it's against House rules twice when they clapped for a conservative. These people must be on a steady diet of KoolAid!

This bill that passed the House wll never pass the Senate. Its a moot point. In the Senate the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.Someone like Joe Lieberman who hates the democrats because they turned on him might as well be a republcan. The Senate all have the best ealth care money can buy.You would think that with Obama as President and 60 democrats this bill would fly like a bird. But,its all about polotics.Their is an election in 2010.

"The roars could have been loud for many reasons." ... methinks in about a year there might be some 200+ roars ... ahem, for another reason

November 8, 2009 at 12:54 pm

WTF! What's The Hurry?

We rushed the Stimulus Package and wasted Billions. Why are we rushing this Health care Package? This bill will represent 1/6 of our economy. So huge that one would think we should make every effort to study the ramifications every step of the way to get the biggest bang for every dollar spent. Bull dozing this bill though for political purposes is criminal and we should make those responsible pay the price!!!!!

AARP Members

Dems want to whack Medicare by 500 Billion. AARP supports the whack job so they can offer you supplemental insurance that will make up for MEDICAL CARE you will lose by the Dems proposal. In the end....government saves dollars....you make up the shortfall by paying more by purchasing supplemental insurance from ????????? yes you guessed it. Do you really believe that AARP really cares about the unisured or rising healthcare cost? Wake up now my friends or waking up will be hard to do.

"VOTE THEM OUT"

VOTE EVERYONE OF THOSE DEMOCRATS OUT. This is not the complete list yet: ://thehill.com/homenews/news/66091-current-house-healthcare-bill-whip-count

Most of us who exited this parasite org. did so to protect our current health care benefits. Those of you who are under 65 may not realize now what you are going to lose. I say to you DON'T procrastinate and play this wait and see game. It will be too late for you my friends if you play that game. Act now and depart this uncaring, money hungry org. who prey on the elderly. If this bill becomes law they make a fortune ripping you off!

Those little squeaks in the house, will be nothing compared to the roar of the American People. 3 roars = 3 strikes.

DEMOCRAT CONGRESS NEEDS TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE HERE AND NOW!

One liberal read (I won't mention the name) is accusing America of neglecting the poverty and hunger in Afghanistan. Do they realize that anything modern that was there has long ago been destroyed by the Taliban because it was “Un-Islamic”. They want to keep the people poor, illiterate, and totally dependent upon them. Are these liberal media blind or just stupidly ignorant?

Most of us older real men here have nearly been to hell and back time and again, san jose. ... working and sacrificing for others every step of the way. You are being a typical liberal bigot, san jose. You are being an idiot.

DEMOCRATS JUMPING TO FUND ANOTHER PROJECT IGNORING THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES TO OUR TROOPS.

CONGRESS HOW ABOUT ROARING FOR THE TROOPS YOU HAVE ABANDONED WITH OBAMA? If the American public could see how their soldiers were living there they would cry. The best of my folks there live in ten year-old “B Huts, plywood tents with little plywood “privacy” dividers with 2 to 8 beds stacked up in it. There are two light fixtures and one switch for the whole hut. The “ablution unit” is a converted B Hut with 6 toilets and six showers about a block away from the main cluster of huts.
