As a Army Vietnam vet w/ a son a former Marine, i would like to say my family has all of you in our prayers. I believe that we are fighting for world peace. i believe Pres. Obama let us all down by being insenctive to you & yours. i would not have wanted my parents to be treated in this manner.Thank you & your loved ones for your service. May God help us all.

Interesting story at NBCChicago.com about Obama's "insensitivity" following Fort Hood shootings when he light-heartedly thanked staffers, etc. before putting on his somber face and switching to discussion of the shootings. Although I am not a Native American, I am sure the Tribal Nations would not have minded being put on the back-burner for a few minutes~~esp. considering the large number of American Indians serving in all branches of the Armed Services!

Hi Greta, When I look at these faces, I see innocence and youth and kindness and I am deeply saddened. I have always been a democrat but never really liberal. At a time like this I actually miss George W. Bush because I know without a doubt that he would have flown to Fort Hood and been a strong supporter/advocate of the military and innocent Americans there and everywhere. Barack Obama gave a short comment yesterday. With all that is coming out, he needs to do more than that. We need more.

I am so sorry for your loss. I don't know why someone would do something like that. I feel sorry for all the families, including the family of Nidal Malik Hasan. What a horrible thing to happen.

TO: maryann: It's not Michelle Bachman/it's the new world order

You are correct words do have consequences and so does reaching out in the Cairo speech--Guess who! And this happened on his watch. Who is he going to blame now allthe lunatics he hired, all the muslims and arabs he apologized to for America who helps every idiotic country and salvages them from misery and then they show their gratitude by killing American soldiers on American soil. BHO sent them to Afghanistan and he said it was his WAR OF NECeSSITY AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED -THE MUSLIMS AND ARABS TURNED ON americans professing their hate filled QURAN. BHO caused all this misery.

I just want to add to Shep Smiths question Not only do I think our military does not get the care they need for this, THEY ALWAYS GET LESS OF EVERYTHING THAN THEY NEED. Terrorist Ill legal alien’s get better care than our Soldiers. The one's we need to take care of the most and the ones who are the reason we have freedom, GET'S THE LEAST. I just do think this is right.

For God's sakes! There is a sleeper cell in the White House by the name of Barack HUSSEIN Obama! They are everywhere. The US is unfortunately doomed!

May GOD BLESS you all. Please know that millions of Americans are praying for you all and we are saddened by this tragic event. Our troops and their families should be safe on their own soil. We have got to change our policies to fit all terrorist possibilities .and yes we look at this as a terrorist act. Thank you for your service and sacrifices as well as your families sacrifices, for us.

To all of the families that lost their loved one yesterday at Ft. Hood, words are very inadequate to express the pain I am feeling, I pray to God to give you courage to overcome this grief. May God bless you, and endow you with his love and care,

If Nidal Malik Hasan did not want to serve overseas and was critical of the US position in Iraq and Afghanistan he should have shot himself saving the rest of us the misery of being left without our loved ones. This was senseless. I suspect this attack by Hasan was not simply to get out of his impending deployment. Good bless our troops!

No amount of words would be able to comfort the family and friends of the ones who died in this tragedy. Nevertheless, may the goodness of God be with them during these difficult moments.
