    Today's shooting in Orlando

Yesterday we had the shooting at Fort Hood...and today in Orlando.  Do you worry that we have or get copy cat killers when high profile shootings happen? Go to the poll and answer the poll question -- right hand side of GretaWire.

There is no doubt in my mind that the violence in this country is so pervasive that it has become a way of life. Take a good look at the shows on network television. Many have some form of violence, even the commercials! Is it any wonder that viewers have become desensitized to violence? This will only change when citizens demand accountability from sponsors, and the government. Programs, including commercials, should be rated more closely for content. We have ignored this for too long.

REALLY???

Comment by club “Who was writing all the laws when your 401 K was wiped out???? Which party was in charge of Congress, that passed all the bills for TARP??? Who was in charge of Congress after 2006 and up until now when yours and everybody else's problems started??? Who has been in charge OF OVERSIGHT SINCE 2006??? ANSWER TO ALL FOUR QUESTIONS--************************************************ *********** (1) Congress writes the BILLS…Congress does not write LAWS. When a BILL is signed by the PRESIDENT, it becomes a LAW. (2) Democrats controlled Congress, BUT GWB and Henry Paulson begged for the bill to be written. The bill would have been just another bill “sittin on Captiol Hill” IF the president hadn’t signed it. (3) My “problems” started last fall when my 401K was trashed. It’s not really a “problem”, because I don’t need the money right now. My hope is that it will be restored somewhat someday. (4) Oversight… The PRESIDENT is in charge of EVERYTHING. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Commander In Chief of the United States. The buck stops with him!!! George W. Bush was the PRESIDENT of the United States for EIGHT LONG YEARS.

It is no coincidence that both Florida and Texas share the most restrictive laws banning the ability of Citizens to carry their firearms to work. States such as Kentucky REQUIRE Employers to allow Employees their "RIGHT to keep & bear arms" in the workplace. The abscence of such shooting rampages in Kentucky is NO "conincidence" either. Even should the Leftists in power achieve the Police State they want; they will never be able to protect us from the crazies. RESTORE OUR FREEDOMS.

Mentally Ill Walking Among Us

The Orlando shooting today, from what his mother-in-law said, was the work of a paranoid schizophrenic who has been suffering from mental illness for many years. Of great concern to the public should be the lack of care these people are getting, and the fact that these potentially dangerous people are no longer placed in mental institutions but are turned out in the community, where no one knows that they might be mentally ill, just like this man.

Diana in Texas

Rape, robbert, murder, extortion, corruption in political and business circles, and other acts of crime and violence seems to permeate all strata of our society. Generations ago, we'd of never dreamed of seeing the moral fabric of society unraveling in this way. Abductions, once rare, are now almost commonplace. Ezekiel 7:23 "Make a chain, for the land is filled with crimes of blood, and the city is full of violence." Pick a US city. It's eerily accurate.

I don't think they are so much copy cats as people who know our justice system is so unfair that they know they just might get away with it one way or another. Just look at the Muslim murderer of yesterday, already there is talk of mental illness. Look at 911 murderers, we can't do enough for them. Look at others in prison we cater to because of religion, special foods, foot baths,or weirdos who want to change their sex or fat prisoners to fat to carry out the death penalty. It's a Joke!

military should revisit their employees for loyalty

many interesting investigative avenues opening today on Ft. Hood shooting. We need to hear more about the victims. Meanwhile, military ought to look at their employees to make sure they are stable and loyal. How did this guy not set off alarms while at Walter Reed?

Greta, who knows, he could have been watching television last night and made the decision to carry out his evil deed the same way as the Major did in Ft. Hood. In any case, the two murderers are in custody and in time the charges will be filed against both of them for murder one and attempted murder.
