AMA's Endorsement of House Health Care Bill Sparks Internal Uprising
Some AMA members are outraged that the group's trustees made the endorsement without the formal approval of the organization's House of Delegates.
l live in Florida and l have no idea how Sen.Nelson is going to vote for this bill, with all the retirees that live here plus the AARP has just thrown them under the bus.Its time these elected morons need to look out for their state instead of the party they represent
When will we grow up? We let clubs and social organizations speak as if they were speaking for us without our permission. For example, AARP says that 1.4 million of its members are for obamare. They also indicate that they have 40 million members. I may not be too smart but I believe that about 3.5% of the membership. Last time I checked that not a majority, not even a good sample.
It's all about money. I've read that the AMA stands to make windfall profits on royalties and user fees when government controls healthcare. The TAXPAYERS paid for a medical code system years ago. The Government gave the system to the AMA to manage and make money. The AMA stands to make millions! Is it really about healthcare? Or money for the AMA?

Throw all the dems out in November 2010. Even the ones that vote 'no' for the health bill, only did it because they were given permission by Nancy to do so. You know, so you'll be fooled in to being an idiot, and vote them in once again. If you have a choice, never vote attorneys to congress. Vote for small business people, or trades people, or your bar tender, but never attorneys.
Called Kaiser, my healthcare provider. Asked if my doctor is an AMA member. The lady said yes after several minutes. I asked to be reassigned to a non-AMA member doctor. She said they'd call me Monday, but asked, can I give a reason why? I said, "I don't trust Doctors that hate American taxpayers."
AARP, ACORN, AMA, TLA, and many more, what's the difference. All are willing have the government steal our freedoms and tax us to death. Socialist/Fascists all.

The best thing for all the citizens in this country is for HR3962 to land up in the garbage disposal while it is running. Pelosi has lost her mind!
Who cares what the AMA says, they are no good for us anyway. They poison people everyday with Chemicals. Our own government does this to us. We need a new FDA, they are poisoning us terribly and don't care.if they poison us with all the chemicals in our food, water, juices,etc.then they sell us more medicines and make lots of money off us. True Health care reform needs to start with a new Food inspection program so people can eat healthy and stay healthy. We don't trust our Government no more
All the doctors that my husband and I go to are totally against this healthcare crap and so are we.
We belong to AARP, but have never used it for anything, just read their booklets.......they are a rip off for seniors.
Their Hummania plans and all their other plans will benefit from this just like they have been ripping off the people and the government.......it has been proven they have been the biggest fraud of medicare and made the most money of any insurance company.

If we ever get our Gov. back, I think they all should take a pay cut, have the same healthcare as the people, pay for their own gas, plane fair, haircuts, shoping trips, vacations and etc, all from their own paycheck. maybe if they were paid hourly wage according to the job they actually do, they would remember who they work for.No gifts or campaign money , no special interest, PERIOD!
I think these organizations should make their determinations on votes by their members. Who do they think they are to speak for others? AARP and the AMA are becoming more like unions who send funds to dems even though many of their members don't approve of their dues being sent that way. AARP's telephone calls and TV ads are vert misleading, I'll never belong to it again.

...who knows? The AARP has lost many members and there are few new members signing up after learning that the AARP has "sold out" and endorsed "obamacare"! PASSING ANY ONE OF THE PROPOSED BILLS WILL AFFECT ONE-SIXTH (ALMOST 17%) OF THE NATION'S ECONOMY..........................AND WHICH PROGRAM DOES THE GOVERNMENT RUN MORE EFFICIENTLY THAN PRIVATE ENTERPRISE COULD RUN? The government KNOWS there is much fraud with the Medicaid Program and WHAT HAVE THEY DONE ABOUT IT?
...the AMA is primarily (approx 80%) comprised of NON-PRACTICING doctors. Most members are university professors and students. Only about 20%, if that much, are practicing doctors who actually KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN THE REAL WORLD!
My Daughter is a doctor. She doesn't belong to the AMA. Her partner showed her a survey that 97% of doctors are against this health care bill. I'm a Senior and I don't belong to AARP. My parents were but canceled their membership. What is going on in this Country is a serious move to destroy America and our people from within.

Just 26 percent want Congress to pass the current health care proposal as is, or with minor changes.

Among the highlights: Two-hundred-and-thirty-seven members of Congress are millionaires. That’s 44 percent of the body – compared to about 1 percent of Americans overall.
