We are on AMTRAK ...and in the quiet car...and? Well, you guessed it! A loud passenger! But this woman tops everything in that not only is she very loud (even if we were not in quiet car) but is working two cell phones. Sooner or later some other passenger is going to tell her to shut up since she is driving entire cars nuts. No, I can't and won't since I don't want to read about it tomorrow but I am sitting waiting for someone to explode all over her. By the way, you can hear her even if you have headphones on (I tried it.)
You know what I would do? Just get on my cell go and stand right next to her - dial any ole number - and talk twice as loud as her. Then, I would look at her very sweetly and smile but continue to speak as loud as I can. Believe me she would get the message.
Greta, you should have asked her in your very unique way of asking questions, if she minded having duel cell phones discussions recorded for your evening segment story. I'd be willing to bet she would have shut both phones down and moved her seat.

Well, Greta, I'd rather be listening to some loud woman talking on two cell phones than have to hear the latest surg of lies by our so-called Commander in Thief. He said on a press conference today that the AMA stands behind the HC. Someone needs to explain to this idiot that a few doctors in white robes in a photo shoot does not a majority make... God help us impeach this imposter!
I am beginning to think we live in a very selfish society. The cell phone issue is ridiculous. Sorry you had to experience that, Greta. Last weekend, my husband and I were at the movies and a woman (not a kid) was on her cell phone (that had rung during the movie). She was laughing and carrying on. Finally, a bunch of us couldn't take it any longer and yelled to her to be quiet. Do you know, she continued for a few minutes longer?!!! Someone actually went and got security.
Too bad you are having to suffer. Some folks have not consideration for those around them. Great rally on capitol hill today. I hope the dems are listening. If not, several of them will lose their house seats in 2010. I have already put my congress person on notice. He made me mad when he voted for Cap & Trade aka Cap and Tax and Tax and Tax some more.
I would like to suggest that Gretta get a Sleeper room-that way you don't have to deal with idiots like that. we go from Indiana to Denver & we always get a sleeper.
We get 2 meals & a bed & wonderful people to work with on the Amtrack...We spent moeny with them this year since it was cheaper & they did the driving. Besides the food is great!
I don't have a cell phone and I don't answer the telephone at home if they are not my kids. So, once you have worked in a communication department on telephones 8 hours a day. you will never want to talk to anyone much. Your ears need a rest.
