I don't like this memorial because of its barrenness and (too) obvious allusion to graves. I would rather see a memorial that is at least somewhat educational and a place where people want to spend some time in contemplation.
I did not know about this memorial. It is a quiet reminder of what those poor people had to endure. One of my parents neighbors was in a concentration camp. I remember when she showed me her tattoo on her arm. I believe it was a number. They did horrible things to her, but she survived. She had a tremendous inner-strength. A remarkable woman.
How ironic, today SOS Clinton was making points with the Arabs against Israel while Iran was sending a shipment of arms (thankfully confiscated) to Hezbolah. She and BO are always snubbing our real allies.
Boy this site is particularly nasty today. You must all have the rag on today. Maybe you are upset that the republicans won the governorship of very blue NJ and swept all the offices of VA.I think the pictures are beautiful and as I have never been to Germany I really have enjoyed them. If I ever get to Germany I will know what I am looking at. What say you? Pehaps you should look at the good side of things and you will see you will be much more joy in your lives.
