Greta: The 1979 Iranian situation was covered up. In 1979 General Haig commander of NATO recommended that the SHAH's Generals take over and stablize Iran. And, to allow the SHAH into the U.S. for medical treatment. None of this was done. Had this been done we would still have a presence/military base in Iran to stablize the region. Also, Haig's plan would have prevented the GULF War,Iraq War, AFGAN War and the problems we are having with IRAN. The Carter Admin supported KHOMENI's return to rule.
I remember the Iran hostage crises like it was yesterday and the lives lost trying to rescue them. I also remember a peanut plantation owner who was President at the time. What a mistake we the people made! I also remember in the ninty's the following bombings:
1993 - The first World Trade Center bombing
1995 - Attempted crashing of plane on White House
1995 - Oklahoma City bombing
1996 - Khobar Towers bombing - Saudi Arabia
1998 - U.S. Embassy bombings Kenya/Tanzania
2000 - USS Cole
I remember the Iran hostage crisis and president's Carter neglect of the situation. I also remember how president Carter abandoned us in El Salvador saying that it was a civil war and that all of us wanted a socialist or communist government; what a lie!! Thanks to God for president Reagan and his support for El Salvador!

I remember the Iran hostage crisis so very well. The mullah's dragged Carter around by the nose. Carter's advice was for us to "ring church bells". It was a direct attack on our country and we did nothing. Before this I was a Carter supporter (too young to vote in the election). I called myself a Democrat. President Carter's incompetence and frustrating paralysis in handling this crisis was one of the things that turned me to the Republican party. When I see Carter, I turn off the TV.
I remember this date 30 years ago as if it was yesterday. "America Held Hostage"!! Here we are, still putting up with Iran and still putting up with the radical Muslims. I would love to see the people of Iran able to gain their freedom. Obama needs to get his act together. Obama was elected one year ago today. "America Held Hostage"!!

Trouble is, only 508 people work there. The Georgia nonprofit's inflated job count is among persisting errors in the government's latest effort to measure the effect of the $787 billion stimulus plan despite White House promises last week that the new data would undergo an "extensive review" to root out errors discovered earlier.
I heard the Democrats are going to push for the Independent Ticket to take away from the GOP in next years Congressional Elections. They want to take votes away from the GOP to throw their support to the Democrat. DON'T VOTE INDEPENDENT UNLESS YOU ARE SURE..........THEY WILL GET THE MAJORITY VOTE. Otherwise, a vote for an Independent, is a vote for the Dems!

WHY DON'T YOU TALK ABOUT THE AMERICANS HELD IN IRAN...NOW??
It hard to believe how everyone is ignoring the American Hostages in IRAN....RIGHT NOW! Maybe FOX should get involved with numbering the days these kids have been held, and the retired guy that was nabbed. Why are they any less important, than the hostages taken and RELEASED 30 YEARS AGO???? FOX should show the faces of these people EVERY NIGHT, and the number of days IRAN has held them!!!!
Did you know that Obama doesn't like those bad ole insurance companies who won't take people who are already sick... So his "public option will go ahead and take them. Kinda like waiting till you wreck your car and then buying a insurance and filing a claim. On the other hand, Obama's public option will reject you if you own a gun... that's too dangerous. So he'll take you if you're already sick and going to cost a lot of money, but if you're healthy and own a gun.. sorry, you're a bad risk

Hillary says she isn't running for President (even in 2012)...
...but I won't believe it until I see it. After having seen what "great" effect obama had in getting Corzine elected yesterday, I feel certain that Hillary is thinking that she has even morrrrrrrrrrrre of a reason to run for President in 2012. LOL. obama is a great gift to the GOP!
