This is deep behind the scenes.....how we shot a segment in Islamabad.
If you follow GretaWire, GretaLiveWire or even ON THE RECORD at 10pm, you know "Debi the Make Up Artist." Yes, she is the make up artist but the truth is that "on the road" she is so much more -- she has a billion tasks on the road unrelated to hair and make up which is why she is always on the trips.
Last night on ON THE RECORD at 10pm you may have seen her newest task: "Debi the shooter." Now she is shooting segments for ON THE RECORD!
I did a short hit that aired on ON THE RECORD at 10pm and Debi shot it with my new Nikon D 300s that shoots video. We then uploaded it to my laptop and then sent it to NYC where they downloaded it and put it on the air for you.
If you saw our show, you remember the hit with the brown wood behind me....so...you can see....Debi has many, many talents. We go so many places where we don't have a crew and thus have to improvise.
Greta, I am enjoying the travel details and pictures you have posted. Good interview but kinda scary at the same time. You only show confidence and no fear. A good news reporter for sure. Compliments to Debi your assistant, you two work well together more than a team its a got your back style a rare thing in your business or at least that I have noticed with other reporters. Keep up the great reporting and both of you and anyone else traveling with you Be Safe....
I doubt anyone cares, but, Greta, I have almost stopped posting at your website because you have allowed a few nasty, insulting, horrible people to take over your forum. There is no point to write anything because they will soon come along and post something nasty. They start their own threads full of nastiness and they remain up there. You can't write under a registered name because they will soon make you a target and attack you. You allowed evil to win. Is that the liberal mantra now?
I am not the least bit surprised about Debi's ability to improvise when you need her help. The two of you have worked together for a very long time.. I am curious what Debi's thinks of the area and the military/security every where you two went. She always has something funny happen to her on the road trips, like falling on the ice in Anchorage. Looking forward to a GLW tell all next week, that is if the two of you survive the ever present jet lag you have not recovered from since NK. Later.
