Urgent: House approves bill to keep government open through mid-December
Per Pergram-Capitol Hill
· The House has okayed the Fiscal Year 2010 Interior Department spending bill. But what’s important is the fact that they latched a provision to this measure to keep the government running through December 18.
· Congress and the White House (again) failed to meet the September 30 deadline to have all spending bills approved and signed into law. So in September, they approved a stopgap bill to keep the government open for business until the end of October. This is known as a “Continuing Resolution” or CR.
· Since Congress and the president have still failed to approve all of the bills for next year, they had to approve another one for the time being to keep the government from closing over the weekend. This bill keeps the government operational through December 18.
It would be better for the country if the government did close down. At least we wouldn't have to worry about more stupid legislation being enacted to destroy the country.

This has been the way Washington has been, for a very long time. Those elected to serve “We the people”, are only concerned for themselves. Greed, and power, are the objectives of those in office. I look at it this way, America now needs to be “regained” by the people. In all the years of my lifetime, I have seen many come and go in Washington, but I have never seen our government react, and take actions, against the fundamentals that our countries basic survival depends upon. To divide and conquer, hits at the very root of what is being played now in Washington. The very simplistic saying, that we all have heard, is driving the American citizens against each other. For many years, I saw Americans growing closer to one another. Now we are divided beyond any comprehensible recognition. Put aside the petty talk and chatter against one another. There is a greater problem than, who is liked, and who isn’t, or who is the better party, because quite frankly they ALL stink. If the common citizen took the time to look at the bottom line, and not get caught up in pettiness, the real root of the problems could be addressed. You have to ask yourselves, ARE YOU ready for what the future will bring to our nation, and ARE YOU going to be OK with the changes that are inevitable, given the course our nation is headed? If Washington continues to print money, the way they have, then the dollar is going to collapse, and America will be Bankrupted. This kind of collapse WILL MEAN America is going to fail. If America fails, “WE THE PEOPLE” will also fail. The constitution will be compromised because America will be pushed to participate in a global economic system. Our sovereignty as an independent nation will no longer exist. Can YOU the American citizen, not “a citizen of the world” yet, come together on this, to realize the consequences of what we ALL, are headed for???? I know that every person has there own reasoning, and feelings, about some things, but this is where we need to stand together, not divided, and make a choice of what you want the future to be...

An annual occurance of the orgy of pig fat!!! Read the FNC article closely. It states this measure is a "favorite" of law makers. Congresspersons have only ONE required job, only ONE. That is to submit a completed budget BEFORE the end of the current fiscal year. It's in the Constitution! Congress has failed at the only required task for many years now. Fire the lot!!!

Obama and Washington cannot find the time to take care of the budget, decide on sending more troops to Afghanstan, yet, the Pres has time to go on the campaign trail, invite special guests to the White House, play golf, and hoops, but he doesn't have time to see that our country is run efficiently. Oh, also, he has time to go against Fox News. As well as send Millions of dollars to the countries who do not like us.
You would think they would have made the CR until after the holiday season with a provision that monies would be applied toward existing expenditure budgets once all spending is approved. If they can't work it out by then, well.
