Small businesses have suffered greatly during our economic crisis and unfortunately, there seems to be no relief in sight. See how one small business owner is coping in our ON THE RECORD interview below:
It has been said that we cannot go back to the failed policies of the past. I agree. However, I can't understand why those who make that statement are in the process of doing exactly that. Obama is following the failed economic policies of the FDR and Carter administrations - both disasterous. Obama talks out of both sides of his mouth. While warning of repeating bad economic policies, I believe that he purposely initiates those same policies. People will now depend on the gov. CHECKMATE!
Only One state in our UNION has seen Job GAINS since the Obummer Stimulus Package was passed, WHICH STATE WAS THAT? IT WAS,..NORTH DAKOTA. So all those jobs Obummer is claiming to have created, must all be in that one state, RIGHT? But the Numbers just DO NOT ADD UP! They must have pulled their NUMBERS out some Dark Neither Region, I knew the administrations numbers stank, giving off some real foul Oder's that floats thru the air every time our Vice-President adds "make believe" to the numbers. NOW THE FACT IS:,.... the unemployment rate is at 10%, more than that in quite a few states, a couple have rates over 17%. So please, explain to me,..how do we grow over a MILLION jobs at the VERY TIME the UNEMPLOYMENT rate, KEEPS RISING, AND RISING???? I'm Just Askin"
I built a machine shop from 1 employee and topped out at 330, one year ago. I am down to 80 and now the bank is calling their note due. We have met with the SBA a couple times and they claim that they nhave not been funded. This administration is not helping us. 23 years down the drain.
SMALL BUSINESS: Your suffering will be over very soon. When the new Obamacare bill passes and is crammed down our throats it will, more likely than not, put you all out of business. I take no joy in this fact but it seems to be the goal of our government to destroy America one thing at a time. With this accomplished, I am ever fearfull what will be next. Old people are already in the Obama crosshairs just waiting for him to pull the trigger. Land of the unemployed & home of the Dead.
"WE THE PEOPLE" seems to be NO MORE as "WE THE PEOPLE" cant even hold our elected officials(GOVERNMENT) accountable. When you rant and rave about "BIG GOVERNMENT" just remember the ALL congressmen and senators ARE THE GOVERNMENT. STOP letting these people play the citizens like a cheap piano.
Investors must increase capital flowing directly into small American businesses.
Investment capital will be spent in America generating jobs, purchasing materials, research, development and manufacturing products. This will also stimulating the real estate market. Best of all, the capital stays in America.

This method of raising capital must be opened up so that businesses CAN advertise to find investors and sell securities directly to them.
We don't need loans or bailouts. We need direct access to investors on a level playing field.

People of America, it is sad to see that this wonderful nation is being undermined by such a corrupt government. It has Not been just since Obama, won the presidency! This has been the way Washington has been, for a very long time. Those elected to serve “We the people”, are only concerned for themselves. Greed, and power, are the objectives of those in office. I look at it this way, America now needs to be “regained” by the people. In all the years of my lifetime, I have seen many come and go in Washington, but I have never seen our government react, and take actions, against the fundamentals that our countries basic survival depends upon. To divide and conquer, hits at the very root of what is being played now in Washington. The very simplistic saying, that we all have heard, is driving the American citizens against each other. For many years, I saw Americans growing closer to one another. Now we are divided beyond any comprehensible recognition. Put aside the petty talk and chatter against one another. There is a greater problem than, who is liked, and who isn’t, or who is the better party, because quite frankly they ALL stink. If the common citizen took the time to look at the bottom line, and not get caught up in pettiness, the real root of the problems could be addressed. You have to ask yourselves, ARE YOU ready for what the future will bring to our nation, and ARE YOU going to be OK with the changes that are inevitable, given the course our nation is headed? If Washington continues to print money, the way they have, then the dollar is going to collapse, and America will be Bankrupted. This kind of collapse WILL MEAN America is going to fail. If America fails, “WE THE PEOPLE” will also fail. The constitution will be compromised because America will be pushed to participate in a global economic system. Our sovereignty as an independent nation will no longer exist. Can YOU the American citizen, not “a citizen of the world” yet, come together on this, to realize the consequences of what we ALL, are headed for???? I know that every person has there own reasoning, and feelings, about some things, but this is where we need to stand together, not divided, and make a choice of what you want the future to be...

I really didn't know the United States Treasure had so much money. Obama is throwing out money left and right. but none of it is coming my way. seems to me we would be going broke before long.
The majority of small business generate revenues of less than $1 million and have 20 employees or less but create the most jobs. These businesses even if they are incorporated are guaranteed by the owners. Unfortunately, most owners have been hanging on and trying to keep people employed and have extended themselves to do it, while waiting for help. Most banks think they are too high risk and they can't get credit. While the President's SBA initiative was nice, it's a year late and a dollar short. Even in the best economy banks are iffy about giving small businesses loans because of failure rate. In this economy forget it. Even well established businesses, who have maintained good payment history, the owner has decent credit can’t get a loan. If the government really wants to help small business, do what they did for the goliaths. Give a guarantee with lower standards. We spent how many billions bailing out GM and Chrysler and they’re still on the verge of failure. You could have done the same for 10’s of !,000’s of small business and the investment would have had a better pay off and return on investment, in communities, jobs, tax revenues. Small business owners are personally vested, they’ll go the extra mile, they just need a break.
I said last year when they talked about bailing out the big banks that was a mistake. If the government was going to do anything, WHYYYY would they put all the taxpayer eggs in one basket that is already sorely stressed. Why not spread the eggs in many small baskets.
I know some of you do not believe this but the Obama agenda is to have all Americans on the same level. He is the worst President if you can call him that. All the money he is spending on nothing is our money. He is not acting like a President. He does not care about the unemployed must less the small businesses. He wants unemployment to go higher. I know it is hard for some to take this all in, but you just wait and see what is coming, you will not like it one bit.
I'm once again watching the comedy press conference of Gibbs with his non-answers. I thought he would choke saying this admin is the most transparent ever! Think the press is beginning to ask a few tougher questions, only person more humorous than Gibbs is Helen Thomas who wants immediate withdrawal from Afghanistan. Scott McClellan can be proud, he is no longer the worst press secretary, thanks to Gibbs.
