We should know the facts on this one by now...what is the hold up?
Do you think those NorthWest pilots were sleeping? How could they overshoot their destination by 110 miles and not communicate either? And why don't we know the answer (it has been days.) There were 144 passengers on that plane and at risk - big risk.
If they were sleeping..the ugly question (now that their flight is safely on the ground), are other pilots sleeping?
I think they were asleep and they put the lives of 144 people in danger...Just think what would have happened if the fighter jets they had ready would have shot them down. It is far worse than texting while driving (and that is really irresponsible) because many more lives would have been lost. Makes me never want to fly again. Whatever the reason they should lose their license and never fly again.
Having flown that exact same flight, I hope the pilots were paying attention. Autopilot was not set correctly or was just on a compass heading meaning these guys were somewhere in lala land. With over a hundred lives in their hands, they should be more responsible.
They need to have their licenses revoked and at every level, not even a private license much less a transport rating.
When people are not responsible in their jobs, they should loose them.
Did the FBI take their laptops? If you wanted to discuss something an didn't want it on the cockpit voice recorder, a couple of laptops would work. Didn't someone else say they were emailed and didn't respond?

Whenever I board a plane, I first say a silent prayer, take a good look at the pilot, and I find my seat. It's kind of a ritual. I am confident that the flight crew is competent and will get us to our destination safely. The audacity of these pilots to not be paying attention, not answering calls and to be surfing the internet, with all those passengers' lives in their hands, is inexcusable! It's as bad as texting while driving a car!
Thank you President Obama for keeping us safe! This is the one, single judgement of a President...compliments of Republicans across the country. Hey you said it, I didnt!

FOX Reports Many Items, Only Some of Which Are True
Last report from Fox News says the pilots were on their Laptops!!. surfing on the internet on the job! they need to be fired period if this report is factual... waiting to hear more! ===== You won't mind if I wait for confirmation, will you? FOX reported that the Lockerbie bomber was dead, WMD's were found in Iraq and that McCain would carry Pennsylvania before FOX didn't report them. /s/ Brick =====
What? We go after pilots for a minnor mistake they made that caused no harm, but when a 19 year old "kid" follows through with intent to blow up a Dallas building, We say well no harm was done and how unfair the FBI set him up. I say. I am glad it was the FBI that set him up with fake bombs instead of terroist with real ones. But, lets get back to the pilots the real trouble makers.

I can't believe how weak this country has become since Vietnam and I'm not talking about our military. NOBODY in this country likes war, yet many of us understand that when you show any kind of weakness there will be more war, not less.
