As you know ON THE RECORD at 10pm is the only prime time cable news show anchored in Washington, DC -- and we take full advantage of it. We daily go to Capitol Hill to bring you close to the important stories....and, in addition to the video camera, I bring my still camera so that I can take pictures for you.
We often go after hours to the Capitol, so we get access to places that we might not otherwise see or which a tourist might not see....so ...another reason to snap pics.
Take a look at the pics posted here. They were taken as we walked back to the bureau after interviewing Congressman Eric Cantor.
The first inside the Capitol looking across the way to the US Supreme Court...and then the walk...including past a fountain that changes colors. I have seen that fountain a million times in daylight but never in the dark and I had no idea it changes colors.
I don't want to be sappy...but I really do want you to see this beauty. I don't want you just to see the food fight side of our government. I go the extra mile to do this for you because you deserve it. Plus I very much appreciate all of you watching ON THE RECORD at 10pm...and blogging here on GretaWire.
I have been on Fox for almost 8 years (time flies) and I have enjoyed the privilege or doing my job for you and I try to do my best for all of you. We get captivated by the fights and partisan bickering on the Hill -- but we should from time to time step back and even looking at the beauty is worthwhile....and maybe look for common ground?

WASHINGTON - Quick quiz: What do these enterprises have in common? Farm and construction machinery, Tupperware, the railroads, Hershey sweets, Yum food brands and Yahoo? Answer: They're all more profitable than the health insurance industry. In the health care debate, Democrats and their allies have gone after insurance companies as rapacious profiteers making "immoral" and "obscene" returns while "the bodies pile up."
Ledgers tell a different reality. Health insurance profit margins typically run about 6 percent, give or take a point or two. That's anemic compared with other forms of insurance and a broad array of industries, even some beleaguered ones.
Profits barely exceeded 2 percent of revenues in the latest annual measure. This partly explains why the credit ratings of some of the largest insurers were downgraded to negative from stable heading into this year, as investors were warned of a stagnant if not shrinking market for private plans.
