    Terrible ..

Child's body found in search for missing Fla. girl

ORANGE PARK, Fla. (AP) -- Detectives searching for a missing 7-year-old north Florida girl say they have found the body of a young child in a Georgia landfill.

Clay County Sheriff Rick Beseler said the body found Wednesday had not been identified but the parents of Somer Thompson have been notified.

The sheriff first said the body was female, then corrected himself and said he was unable to confirm the gender.

Somer vanished on her mile-long walk home from school Monday in Orange Park, near Jacksonville.

She was squabbling with another child, and her sister told her to stop. The girl got upset, walked ahead of the group and wasn't seen again.

I heard about this last night. On my way to work this morning, I though back about my own daughter. I could not bring myself to allow her to walk along a busy highway by herself ... even in high school. I always erred on the side of being overprotective, I guess.

It just broke my heart this morning when I heard on the news little Somer's body had been found and identified. It also makes me angry that these sick monsters are allowed to live in areas where children live and schools or playgrounds or nearby. I feel bad for her family, but have to wonder if they were aware of how many of these sicko creeps were in their neighborhood. Children are targets of this sick society that liberals have promoted! They are just as guility of the Somer's murderer!!!
