Dear Sirs: "During my last night's shift in the ER, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient with a shiny new gold tooth, multiple elaborate tattoos, a very expensive brand of tennis shoes designer clothes and a new cellular telephone equipped with her favorite R&B tune for a ringtone. Glancing over the chart, one could not help noticing her payer status: Medicaid. She smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and, somehow, still has money to buy beer. And our president expects me to pay for this woman's health care? Our nation's health care crisis is not a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. It is a crisis of culture - a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on vices & personal whims while refusing to take care of one's personal health or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. A culture that thinks "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me". Life is really not that hard. Most of us reap what we sow.

My nephew was on that ship. He died last year from a short bout with Pancreatic Cancer. He had very little to say about his capture.

LOL, do you even watch the news? Chicago has a long HISTORY of corrupt politicians, many of which have gone to prison. 99% of Obama's administration, are an example of corrupt Chicago politicians. The citizens of Chicago shouldn't be painted in the same corner as their politicians, so stop trying to spin.

Franklin Graham should be commended for the good work he is doing. Thank-you Greta for making the ON THE RECORD road trip. You are the best at getting us the news.

Thanks so much for your comments with Franklin Graham. Our Fowler Art Center is sponsoring Franklin Grahams Operation Christmas Child shoebox program. People from all of S.W. KS. has been helping with toys, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dolls, soap, washcloths, colorbooks, shoes etc. to fill 3000 shoeboxes. What a wonderful challenge and opportunity. It is truly "The Art of Giving".

thomas wv Greta, Very eye opening report. I think this should be used to compare with some of the poorer areas of our country so we can see how our system measures up. This way maybe both countries could benefit together.============== You bet. American entrepreneurs work to give their best, do not wait for others to hand it to them. It brings not only light but color to places like North Korea.

LOL

According to Live News(and other haters on this blog), one guy being corrupt = and entire city? How come nobody talks about "South Carolina corrupt politics"? Face it youve been duped to hate Obama. Blago is from there, Obama was a Sebator there, so the entire city "is bad"!!! LOL

"OBAMA APPROVAL KEEPS ON DECLINING"*******A poll is simply a snapshot in time. Some decline is expected...the "honeymoon" is over. Obama's administration is still very "young". The economy is showing signs of improvement. Insurance/health care legislation will be passed this year. A year from now, Obama's numbers will be "back up there". Barack Obama will be re-elected in 2012.

It appears Obummer and his thugs attack on Fox is backfiring. Numbers for Bambi sinking, viewers for Fox increasing. People want to see what the fuss is all about. God works in strange and mysterious ways! If he pushes obamacare down out throats which appears to be what will happen, it will be interesting to watch him sink that a rock. American doctors will be working in the dark too because hospitals won't be able to afford the cost of cap and tax, they'll be working in the dark too.

We watch Fox News exclusively. We feel it is the only fair and balanced news network. We love you Greta, but you and Frederick Graham in North Korea made us livid. Mr. Graham is a man of the Lord. He is also very wealthy. If you and he want the North Koreans to have generators, etc. etc. let him pay for them. We taypayers resent spending our tax $ on N Koreans who are depriving their people of the necessities of life so they can become a nuclear power. Shame on both of you to think that is ok.

LOL wow so I guess Blago was the first corrupt politician to be caught huh? Thanks for the info, man. --------------------------------------------- You're not bright are you, dude? The American people do not want thugs of this type, in their White House. Yes, I'm sure most politicians are corrupt, to an extent, but those Chicago guys in the WH now, are 100% low-classed thugs. Being corrupt as a politician, doesn't mean that one still can't have a touch of class. Moron.

LOL "chicago-style politics"? Whats that, they serve deep-dish pizza at lunch? ----------------------- Dude, I don't respect your Dems, nor, do I respect your Repubs. Blago's alleged corruption case, has blown the lid off the thuggish politics of Chicago. Be a zombie partisan, if you like, but truth cannot be denied. Obama and his merry band of thugs, are unprofessional and low-classed. They only know how to play dirty. The dirt will be thrown back in their faces. JMO.

Off-topic, but great news. Chicago style politics isn't playing well, when applied in the peoples' White House. At least one liberal leaning network, this morning, is resisting the Obama administration's attempts to isolate Fox News, in order to 'control' freedom of the press. To paraphrase one anchor, Fox News breaking such major stories, as ACORN and Van Jones, resulted in this new strategy to isolate FNC. Don't follow FNC's lead on such stories, was the underlying message. Joke is on Obama.:)
