These pics are of our cameraman John "Hollywood" Kisala doing karaoke in North Korea. He will kill me when he sees these pics posted but I really can't help myself. (Maybe he won't see them?) I promised you the behind the scenes of our trip to North Korea and this sure is the behind the scenes.
The pics were taken after I left North Korea (he was on a flight the next day) and taken on my camera. I left my point and shoot camera behind with my executive producer Meade Cooper since she was without one and she obviously took the pics. When my executive producer gave me my camera a few hours ago, I discovered the pics on my camera. I obviously did not shoot the pics. I recognize the background in the pics -- the karaoke bar in our hotel. I only wish this were video instead of still pics.
After some of us left, the North Koreans put the remaining people in "lock down" -- meaning they could not do anything except roam the hotel. Fortunately (fortunately???) the vacant hotel had a karaoke bar. I was in the bar last year and we were the only ones in the bar since no one else is in the hotel.
Incidentally, the hotel and bar are like a ghost town.
(I just had a thought -- Hollywood should shoot my executive producer since she is the one who took the pics, I did not. I was already in China when the pics were taken!! So I plead not guilty.)
How fun!! I remember the last time you all went to China, and NK.. Hollywood had an injury, but I can't remember what it was exactly, time fog's the memory. LOL
Greta - no one is going to do any shooting - but if we could all be there then maybe some of us would do a lot of laughing. Hollywood - I bet you can sing!!!
