Gov Sarah Palin and Oprah? together?

So who won the bookings race for Governor Sarah Palin's first book interview? Oprah! And what makes this particularly interesting is that Oprah is a huge (and early) supporter of President Obama.  During the election (when Palin was on the ticket and running) Oprah left the talk show set and stumped for candidate Obama against McCain and Palin.

Will Oprah ask the Governor about Bill Ayers? (remember the Governor talking about that on the campaign trail?) Will the interview be fascinating? or mean spirited? tough? touchy-feely? factual? inquisitive? straight forward? cold? warm? probing?

What do you think? Read the Chicago Sun Times article linked below:

This is what is wrong with fox news Greta, Oprah stumped for the president before anybody heard about Sarah P. it was in the Democratic primaries. So please correct your assertion that Oprah stumped for Obama against McCain and Sarah.

I don't think Sarah Palin should go on Oprah/Obama show and I have loss some respect for her. I quit watching Oprah when she endorsed Obama. Her ratings have continued to go down and if she thinks that by having Sarah Palin on her show is going to help her. Well she is sadly mistaken. What goes around always comes back around and Oprah's day will come. I just hope I'm around to see it. Sarah Palin better watch her back.

The results of your poll on limiting executive compensation shows just exactly what your audience is comprised of. A majority of responders voted for unlimited CEO compensation. I guess your viewers really are the wealthy minority. HAH! So much for grassroots movements and Faux News. More like Corporate America Bowell Movements. From what I have seen from the real middle class, people are disgusted that AIG and the like got bailed out and are still paying out enormous benefits to CEOs.

I don't watch Oprah, I think she is too full of herself, but I would love to see if Sarah Palin has any ideas in her head that makes sense. So far, all I have heard is increase production. What good is that if no one has any money to buy what is being produced? What is worse, is the production she is talking about is more oil. We don't need more oil, we need our money to stay here, with the lower and middle class people, not accumulated and loaned out by a few large corporations.

Now one of the O's (Oprah & Obama) want to capitalize on Sarah Palin which seems disingenuos! I would be careful if I were Sarah...

At first I did not like the idea of Sara going on that show. However, after more thought, she is playing it smart even if team Obama gives Miss O the questions to ask. Go ahead Sara be yourself the one everone loves and give it to them!

Hey Folks, remember during the Pres. campaign Obama was being praised for going to places other Democrats didn't campaign. I see the same deal with Sarah. I'll say it again, Sarah will go to an opposing network, where Obama is to afraid. Hey, Pres. Obama, go on Greta's show. And please stop the "they will" comments. You can watch Winfrey for that day then stop. It will probably hurt her more with a spike with Sarah then a loss. Support Gov. Palin.

Sarah should not stoop to appearing on Oprah's show, she should have just told her she was not interested, she doesn't need Opray to sell her book. Opray and David Letterman both suck. I hope Letterman loses his job and I hope Oprah's ratings continue to tank, she is a mess!

I intentionally skipped right to the comment box before reading what everyone else said, so maybe I'm not the first to say this, but damn it's sad when something as important as who'll be (potentially) the next president of the US is dumbed down and diminished by the celebrity culture that people seem to need. I have family members who neglect their babies to worship at the altar of Oprah---so I understand that the Palins of the world see a great opportunity there, but what are we thinking?

Sarah should avoid Oprah. Giving legitimacy to Oprah now after avoiding her during the election only gives the appearance that Oprah is, to steal the term, fair and balanced. Oprah, as we all know, is only interested in promoting Oprah and Sarah showing up on her show will give the impression that she will give sacrifice a little dignity to promote her book. Oprah's ratings have been tanking recently and to get a scoop like Sarah helps Oprah more that Sarah.

Sara Palin should promote her book everywhere but, on "The Opra Winfrey Show". Why give aid and comfort to the enemy. Sara should take a pass on Opra just like Opra took a pass on her. What comes around, goes around Opra. Mmmmm,Mmmmm,Mmmm

Sarah is far too good for Oprah. It is apparent that Oprah is an Obama fan, so why would Oprah want Sarah on her show if not to ridicule her in public?

4-ever Fox Fan

Would love to watch Sarah on Oprah show but I refuse to watch the other networks. I think Fox News should record Oprah's show...and then show it to all us Fox fans and keep the ratings on Fox!!!! :)

Could this be Opera's way of promoting Sarah for the next presidental election, hoping to have Obama another four years? I like Sarah, but I think she should avoid the Opera show.

Sarah should tell Oprah to pound sand her ratins suck because of the bias attitude put forth prior to the election. Sarah should not allow Oprah to use her to rebuild her shrinking viewer base.

I think this is a very good idea! Sarah Palin Will show that she is the bigger person. Maybe Obama will appear on Fox news. I will not watch the show that day, or any other day!
