A GretaWire blogger - Jillian - sent me the link below. It turns out that there is more than the "cash for clunkers" program -- you can get government help (cash) if you buy -- hang on to your seat - a golf cart!!
So....while most Americans can't afford a country club membership (almost 10% don't even have jobs who want jobs!) ....the Government is shelling out $$$$$$ to help people buy golf carts. You don't believe our government could do that with your money?
OMG will you all just shut up! This program was designed to help people buy Low Speed Vehicles, not golf carts. Some of the machines may look like a golf cart,but a regular golf cart that country clubbers drive on the golf course does not qualify. Typical that everyone is ready to jump all over something they do not know or understand.
What we need to do is re-write tax code and eliminate some of these 501-c etc. Greta should investigate how many of these there are. Thousands and thousands of people set them up and pay no tax and while there are some that truly benefit entire communities; others benefit special groups. Or themselves. Amazing how people look for ways to cheat system.
I hear GATES said in PUBLIC, that his leader, O'Bama must make a decision on Troop strength soon. I say he is right, but he is now at odds with the leftist loons in control of the White House who are influencing O'Bama. I guess INDECISION may turn out to be the Hallmark of the O'Bama administration. In Oklahoma there is a huge battle over what gets the state credit (50% of cost!) and what doesn't. The state law has been on the books for 13 years, now that they think they might need to issue credits the Tax Commission want to re-write the rules! I bought one under the idea I would get a credit, now the state is fighting it. Btw, I can make to the stores in my town with this. Any credit that saves buying oil from countries that hate us is a good deal.

Golf cart rebate. That's great! My hubby is handicapped and cannot drive (because he cannot see distance), but, he can get around on our aging golf cart. I will definitely look into this one. If they were smart, they would have only had the rebate for those who truly needed them. that I could understand.

I just watched your program on the golf cart stimulus. I live in Peachtree City where we have over a one hundred paved miles of golf cart paths. About half of my high school drives to school on a golf cart. Almost everyone in our city owns and drives a golf cart. We can get anywhere and it saves a lot of gas and money. Check out Peachtree City, Georgia.
Finally, a rebate for me! I've been wanting a golf cart to play around the neighborhood! I hardly believe they're going to pass some money on to those of us who have some money! Really? lmao These folks in DC are nuts!
We Americans need to ask plenty more questions about how our tax money is spent. We need somebody to check out the spending, line by line, and stop the insanity.
The disabled are not going to get items needed just to live their life as fully as possible and now we find another stupid program has been passed by congress for golf carts. Are these people deaf. It's as if they are begging to be sent home in next elections. This is outrageous. How is it possible for them to so completely ignore the American people. Lets give them what they're asking for and VOTE THEM OUT.
This cash for clunkers is a joke. there are people in my neighborhood that dont have a pot to piss in. they traded their their clunker for brandspanking SUV's . I'm setting here wondering just how long it will be before the tow-trucks come for re-posession of their shinny new automobil's.
