I oppose these hair-brained health care reform schemes. Why? 1. It will cost too much and give too little. 2. Feds should be a regulator not a payor or provider. 3. Will provide care to millions in exchange for their votes with no payment. 4. Will not improve either access or quality. 5. There is no moral imperative to care in a free market system for those who don't provide for themselves. It will drive providers out of the system and frustrate those who stay on.

The "non-profit co-ops" ARE the public option, since the feds will have to supply "seed money" to get them started. Also, I realize that the gov. can levy taxes, but can they REQUIRE taxpayers to have health ins.? I'm not sure that's even legal, but that never seems to bother this administration. Many of BO's actions are legally questionable.
