"Delay is preferable to error." - "All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent." - "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance." - Thomas Jefferson. The reason the Libs are rushing to pass a health care bill NOW, is because they know that in 2010 they won't have the power to pass gas. We need to slow them down long enough to get this thing right, and so far, they're getting more "left" than right! Who's in control - the government or US?

How long do we have to put up with this? No one that voted yes on this bill should ever be re-elected. Voting on partial bills, voting on bills that haven't been written yet and voting on bills that haven't even been completely read. Changing bill's behind closed doors, isn't this treason or something just as bad? I'm sorry but I'm sick of paying these people the outrages salaries and extravagant pension plans that they get to work one or maybe 2 days a week and not even do their job's.

Health care is not the problem, it is a vehicle for the socialists. The issue is CONTROL.

If I understand the news and a few out spoken senators there really was not a bill. Only the promise of a bill. The Senate Finance Committee should have actually had a bill then the American people could look at and read. The Senate is more screwed up than the House.

You know - to take a high level analysis to insure the uninsured: 250 million insured X $100/mo = 25,000,000,000 50 million uninsured X $500/mo =(25,000,000,000) wow - it's paid for - so why does the whole system have to be redone? This questions what they are trying to do because there are some other much simplier ways - (in addition to buying insurance across state lines, etc.) - what about a tax on the dollars lawyers make on medical law suits

I oppose these hair-brained health care reform schemes. Why? 1. It will cost too much and give too little. 2. Feds should be a regulator not a payor or provider. 3. Will provide care to millions in exchange for their votes with no payment. 4. Will not improve either access or quality. 5. There is no moral imperative to care in a free market system for those who don't provide for themselves. It will drive providers out of the system and frustrate those who stay on.

Is anyone REALLY surprised by this vote? The Libs are going bonkers!Even though they claim there is no "public option" in this bill, it's A LIE. The "non-profit co-ops" ARE the public option, since the feds will have to supply "seed money" to get them started. Also, I realize that the gov. can levy taxes, but can they REQUIRE taxpayers to have health ins.? I'm not sure that's even legal, but that never seems to bother this administration. Many of BO's actions are legally questionable.

They are going to try to merge 3 crappy bills into one crappy bill and try to cram it through when we are busy with something else. The Dems will beg, borrow, and steal to get their way whether we want it or not. Which, by the way Washington, WE DON'T WANT IT.

The backhanded, behind closed-doors crap that is going on since the minute the Baucus bill passed makes me SICK! No transparency. NO bipartisanship. NO keeping promises made during the campaign regarding listening to the country. We have a HUGE battle ahead of us - it's got to be the tea-parties times 10. Let's roll, folks!!!!!

Mopping things up

BHO said that he and Nancy are mopping things from the Bush Administration. I think Nancy is really cleaning up the mess from the congress majority decisions from 2006 on. These people have difficulty owning their own mess-ups. They are playing the "Blame Game" again. They love to criticize and redicule others but it seems they are messing things up now big time. Congress only works three days a week while the rest of America is out of work and suffering and while BHO is spending.

1957 Moa Says: " Let A Thousand Flowers Bloom...." The Chairman of China's Communist Party, Mao Tse-Tung, delivered a speech in which he stated: "Let a thousand flowers bloom, a hundred schools of thought contend." To many observers, these statements seemed to indicate a relaxing of totalitarian rule. Criticism directed against the government soon developed. The government reacted, warning that the critics were "rightists." 1957 Federal Troops Integrated Schools in Little Rock After local author
