To All of You at Fox News,
You are all examples of and defenders of free speech for millions of viewers. All of you, each in your own respective way provides a voice for us and may you continue to do so for a very long time.
Millions turn to FOX to get news in as unbiased a manner as can be had on television anywhere!
It is in light of this that I find the blackout of the story on Michael Savage being banned in Britain and then banned from a Cambridge debate as either grossly suspicious, grossly deliberate or grossly negligent.
It is akin to what MSNBC and CNN does on a daily basis and it is in light of the contrast between how the aforementioned cable news organizations report the news and how FOX reports the news, that makes this blackout on the Savage story particularly frustrating but most of all disappointing.
At a time when you yourselves report on a daily basis how important it is to have independent voices and freedom of speech. Many of you go on to state accurately that our freedom of speech is integral to our founding documents. Many of you are aware how our freedoms are under threat from the far left, which is more powerful than ever!
Most of you have stated on record that you defend other's right to speak what they will even if you disagree with what they say. Well then ... Sean, Brit, Bret, Glenn, Neil, Bill, Shep, Steve, Kimberly, Gretchen, Geraldo, Greta, Mike, Martha, Eric, Brian, Jaime, Julie, Jon, Jane, Harris, Megyn (Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy) and Bill H .... Carl C ... Anyone???
Why the silence on the Savage story? He is clearly being denied that most valuable right in Britain of all places and I am sorry to say, here as well. By your complicit lack of coverage on what should be a shining example of the very battle for free speech that rages, the sound of your silence is deafening!
The situation with Savage is a perfect illustration how the left's war on free speech is global and how that global war has already infected a nation that was once a bastion of freedom. The nation that gave birth to the Magna Carta and who was once our greatest ally in freedom has not only fully succumbed to political correctness, but has descended further down the slippery slope into flagrant censorship.
Even placing Savage in the same company with animals who bashed in children's brains with the butt of a rifle is an egregious miscarriage of justice and character! Yet, still the censorship! Where is FOX?
Even the silencing of open and honest debate, the very essence of freedom, in a most prestigious university is not newsworthy. Who would have thought, Cambridge, this famed institution of higher learning, the very place where that freedom should be cherished most of all, and ironically in a nation who in a former life was a beacon of liberty where that very freedom was once cherished, would now succumb to such a maligning of that most basic right and in doing so commit a most serious injustice against a free man? Where is FOX?
You folks even interviewed some shock jocks who challenged people to have sex in a pew in a church to give their side of the story! What am I missing here?
You folks have stated on more than one occasion that journalism is dead. You did so out of disgust at the complicity of the major news outlets for behaving as if they were the president's lackeys. You are correct in believing this!
The fact they all move in unison with silence on certain issues, or spewing White House talking points on other issues even while claiming to be independent and truthful in their reporting is a fact your network frequently reports on.
Glenn Beck, whom I am a huge fan of, himself, has told Katie Couric that the days of news media outlets saying they are going to let this or that story alone or keep it buried are over!
So, how is it this same FOX News Network has still chosen to remain silent on the issue of Michael Savage even in the face of that silence serving to seemingly condone the both the actions of Britain as well as those of Cambridge?.
FOX with its deafening silence is party to the deed. FOX is contributing to the problem. FOX has been mirror imaging here, what Britain has done there! Collusion is the word that comes to mind even if the behavior here and abroad are not deliberately coordinated, and that is questionable as well!
You are all respectful people. Like him or hate him, Michael Savage is still a significant voice out there and he does love his country as we all do. He is entitled to the same basic freedoms we all are!
How is it any less significant worthy a story for FOX to report on a prestigious university such as Columbia in allowing the likes of Ahmedinejad to speak there WITHOUT DEBATE, even if with some protest, and yet not report on a prestigious university such as Cambridge in denying the very same right to a man who IS an American citizen and so much more deserving of the honor?
How is it not newsworthy in the eyes of FOX to have this American icon treated with less dignity and with less honor than a murderous, holocaust denying, hate filled despot who has actually murdered thousands and perhaps has imprisoned thousands of others for political differences?
A prime example allowing the embodied antithesis of freedom from a truly repressive government is allowed more freedom than an American who has fought for and lived all those things that Ahmedinejad himself would crush. A murderer under whose auspices a man like Michael Savage would never be allowed the freedom to set foot in his country, let alone be allowed to express his views or debate an issue is given those very privileges an American is denied not by Ahmedinejad of Iran, but by Britain and Cambridge University of all places.
Even the irony of this situation is not newsworthy to FOX, the beacon and defender of freedom?
America allows pigs like Chavez and Ahmedinejad to set foot on her soil only to appear in a sham of an international organization known as the U.N. To FOX, this is a reportable story. BRITAIN denying that very same right to an American citizen not a reportable story?????
AGAIN, how is it that we can allow a murderous thug, like Ahmedinejad let alone others like him, to set foot on our shores to attend the U.N., call that news, still allow that same murderer to appear in a prestigious American university, call that news, yet remain deadpan silent on an American icon of talk radio being both banned by from Britain and censored from DEBATING at the esteemed British University, Cambridge, and that not be news?
How can such an assault on our freedoms and liberties not be newsworthy especially when such assaults on our freedoms and liberties are in the news???
This assault on Michael Savage is an assault on OUR freedom and OUR personal liberty. It is a violation of OUR basic constitutional rights which we are taught are bestowed on us by our creator. An assault on one free American, in this case Michael Savage, is an assault on all our liberties therefore on all of us. He was simply the convenient scapegoat of politically and ideologically weak politicians while it is OUR FREEDOMS and OUR LIBERTY who are the real victims! HOW IS THIS NOT NEWS????
Are we not all slighted and are not all our individual liberties and freedoms at risk when even FOX remains party to this blackout?

I used to think it was given to people that have some good for humanity like Pasteur and the one who deleloped the heart to extend life. He is only going to shorten life of seniors ect.
