This might surprise you. Check out what former GOP Presidential candidate Bob Dole is saying about health care (it is in the Kansas City Star.) I have an excerpt here plus the link to the entire story:
"....“This is one of the most important measures members of Congress will vote on in their lifetimes,” the former U.S. senator and GOP presidential candidate told an audience at the “Health Summit.” It was sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City at the Liberty Memorial auditorium.
Dole and two other former Senate leaders, Republican James Baker and Democrat Tom Daschle, are urging a bipartisan compromise on health care. They correctly support affordable health insurance without exceptions for past medical problems. And they want financial incentives based on outcomes instead of procedures....."
Mr. Dole, the congress and senate no longer reach across the aisle as they did in your day. It is a dem monopoly, they want no input from the repubs except a yes do as you please. They don't even work with their more conservative counterparts. You are living in the past - you are helping no one, be quiet!
So Obummer received a Nobel Peace Prize from Oslo, Norway. Big deal. I wish he would move to Norway, help send thousands of jobs out of that country, screw up Norway's healthcare for its citizens, and basically p!ss everyone off who lives there. When he goes to pick up the award, stay there!!!!!! Take Pelosi with him!!!
MY ADVICE IS FOR GOVERNMENT TO GET OUT OF CANCEROUS SOCIALISM AND DICTATORSHIP....MORE CLEARLY...GET GOVERNMENT AND THE LEGAL SOCIETY OUT OF OUR PERSONAL LIVES..PERIOD!!!!!..AND LET AMERICA BECOME A FREE NATION AS OUR FOREFATHERS DESIGNED IT
Can someone tell me why any ins.co would sell a policy to anyone with a pre existing condition knowing that immediately they will lose money? And everyone elses premium will go up to pay for them. As it is you can get ins. but will cost you more and the existing condition will not be covered for a year after that it is covered. The unfairness is that everyones ins is too high. Gov will only make it more expensive and less care for all.

Ever notice that every person touting this health care bill does not have to go on it. I just want a bill reforming health care that all the people in the USA have to live under. NO EXCEPTIONS.
All of these senators and congressman, former and present and Obama do not not care one bit if you have good affordable healthcare or not. They will never have to use govt-run healthcare, they have their own. This socialized healhcare bill they're shoving down our throats is just a political agenda of the Liberal-left. Wake up AMERICA!

six hundred dollars when they have a baby ,they will put this in and Account for the baby .Well guess what every mother in the Briton ,Canada ,Australia etc,have been getting this for the past fifty year's,and still are .They get paid to have babies' ,also they get a weekly check till the child is of School age.So what Obama and his administration is giving and doing is nothing more than socialized health care.This mean's all eligals are getting money for having babies' and getting a weekly check from the goverment
The Rasmussen poll shows 49% approval rating for obama and a 50% disapproval rating for him. I had an idea, if everyone here would tell just 3 to 5 people something the admin. is doing to ruin this country, then we might get his disapproval numbers higher. Kinda like a chain letter..word travels fast. I believe some people just do not realize the danger this country is in for.
The problem with "They correctly support affordable health insurance without exceptions for past medical problems." The public plan I've read about, including the Baucus plan, provides some kind of funding adjustment for participants with adverse medical history/problems. The private/group plans do not have this luxury. I think this will lead to fewer non-public choices in the future. Fix he economy, and fewer people will need to worry about losing their health insurance.
Years ago when my grandmother was 90 my mother found she was taking a lot of different medicines. In an attempt to fix her the physicians prescribed numerous medicines. They decided to stop all of he pills and figure out what she really needed as one thing always leads to another. What they found out is they could drop her from 10+ pills to a couple. We need to follow this same theory on health care. Lets not try to fix everything at once and cause more problems. Lets fix 1 thing and then...
I am a strong supporter of "healthcare reform" and apparently the majority of Americans are. The plan that Max Baucus is pushing is in no way, shape or form "healthcare reform", it is a law forcing people to buy insurance from the very insurance industry that has made healthcare unaffordable, it was crafted for the insurance industry, by the insurance industry and was presented by Baucus who is owned by the insurance industry. It has no cost controls and will do nothing to reduce insurance costs and has no option other than to pay whatever the insurance industry deems fit or face being fined. It will make the insurance industry taxpayer subsidized. Anyone who takes the time to examine this legislation will find no "reform", what they will find is a bill that does nothing for the average American and everything to make an already wealthy insurance industry more wealthy by force. It would be criminal to pass this legislation without a strong public option to allow people, any person a way out of the private insurance system which would force the insurance industry to play nice and control costs, nothing else will work, no bill at all would be better than what Baucus/the insurance industry are proposing, to pass it would be disastrous and would be the end of the Democratic party.
Congress is going to mess it up for the majority for a very small minority. Health Care Reform should be dropped. Taking money out of Medicare is unexcuseable. We seniors will not forget. I am disturb by the hours that congress is working. Coming in on Tuesday and leaving on Thursday. That is just not right. Obama spends a great deal of time on the campaign trail and congress never works. Isn't that lovely?? We are not get much bang for our BUCKS!!!! Tell Reid & Pelosi TO POST THE BILLS
There should not be a time limit on getting this worked out. It is a terriable injustice for the poor to have a bill passed like this. Especially when the Insurance Compainis will be playing God....and please do not waste your time telling me they will not! They ARE DOING IT NOW!
