Thank you for covering the story on Honduras. As a member of the congreesional asemply which wrote the constitution in Honduras in 1982 I can assure you Mr. Zelaya broke the law. His removal from office was legally done, our new government is legal. The coming election in November are also legal. Please do not forget the people of Honduras, they need supporters like you. If you plan to come back to our country and need any assistance please let me know.
Thank you again.

I was born in Honduras, and currently work and live in Guatemala. I am an attorney.
I am appalled at the way the world, including the U.S. government has handled the situation in Honduras.
Manuel Zelaya was elected by the popular vote; so were Hitler and Mussolini. However Mr. Zelaya and the world seem to have forgotten that having won the popular vote does not grant Mr. Zelaya a blank check to do with the country as he pleases. He is subject to the rule of law as are all of us.
The Courts told Mr. Zelaya that he could not establish a fourth ballot box, this was not a capricious decision, it was based on Honduran law. Notwithstanding the Courts decision, Mr. Zelaya decided to go conduct a “non-binding”poll, just to know the will of the people.
Once again the Courts told Mr. Zelaya he could not hold the poll; and once again he decided to go ahead, against a court decision.
The rule of law dictates that one must obey the decision of the courts, even if one does not agree with that decision.
As a lawyer I’ve learned to accept the decision of a court, even if I don’t agree with it, or it is contrary to my interests.
Mr. Zelaya decided of his own accord that he was above the law and above the courts.
In addition to his disregard for the rule of law, Mr. Zelaya wishes to impose on Honduras the socialism system, that Hugo Chavez has imposed on Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and El Salvador using the Venezuelan’s money, which has left them in poverty.
I fully understand the desire of your government of not meddling in the affairs of other governments, as former U.S. governments did, however I understand that the U.S. has a certain responsibility towards the rest of the world, in not allowing other governments to interfere in foreign countries, which is precisely what Hugo Chavez is doing in Honduras.
The U.S. can impact Honduras, either by interfering with its decisions or by allowing other countries, such as Venezuela to interfere in its affairs, thus indirectly affecting Honduras.
Though the decision taken by the Honduras Courts to oust Mr. Zelaya may not seem a good one to foreign countries it was a decision taken by the Honduras Courts, and your government must respect that decision, in accordance with its policy of non-interference.
Also if the U.S. wishes to preserve the rights of the people, it must not allow interference of other foreign governments in Honduras, namely Hugo Chavez and his subordinates.
Evil triumphs when good men do nothing. Please listen to us. We the Honduran people.

In fact, good men and women are doing something lately, yes helping Evil to triumphs

Dear Ms. Van Susteren:
I would like to preface my letter by saying that I am a Hispanic, American citizen, born in Honduras, who voted for Barack Obama. I am writing to commend you on the interview you conducted with President Roberto Michelleti, the interim president of Honduras. You are the only American journalist who has attempted to protray the facts about what actually happended in Honduras.
As an American citizen, I am profoundly disappointed in the amateur behaviour of our Secretary of State, who after asking President Arias to mediate has wholeheartedly thrown her support fully to the ex-President, allowing for his every petty attempt to punish a poor country for standing up for democracy. Hugo Llorens the American Ambassador in Honduras tried to get support to change the constitution with Zelata, according to La Prensa newspaper of Sept. 15. That is tampering.Honduras is seeing its visas cancelled, its credits frozen its farmers suffering to appease a man who a scant 7 months ago was giving speeches for Chavez and referring to American as "shit yanquis".A brief review of Zelaya's history will reveal that he is less than honoroble to put it mildly. He is willing to have his own country suffer for his vanity so he can be President 2 more months??
Furthermore, his arrest was sancitoned by the Honduras Supreme Court.
I have written many e-mails to the WHhte House and President Obama on this topic but I guess, I don't count because I'm just a little insignificant voter.
Anyway, I am profoundly disappointed in an administration that promised to be "on-interventionist" ad helpful in Latin America and is now fully on the side of all the worst socialist regimes of the region, like Venezuela, Ecuador, Paraguay, Cuba,
