MICHAEL VICK: should he be back in NFL?

    images-3

You all know I am an animal lover - my husband thinks I have made our home into a petting zoo (ok, he might be right.). I really don't like Michael Vick because of his crimes....they were terrible crimes....but, are you ready for this? I think it is time to let him play football in the NFL. He pleaded guilty, the judge sentenced him and he did his time. We now should let it go. We should not increase the penalty by denying him a chance to play football. Yes, it is called "playing" but in reality it is his job, his trade. Letting someone pay a penalty (as he did) and then allowing him or her to start over is important - important for that person and also important for us. We want to be firm, but not vindictive. We are better than that.   If, after completing his sentence as he has, we now deny him his occupation (more penalty), we are "moving the goalpost" and that is not fair.  I am even going to find a way to cheer for him (maybe I will like him better, too) as I admire someone who can redeem himself.
    What do you think?
