I spend a great deal of time reading local newspapers of the possible political contenders in 2012. In the last few months I have been reading papers in South Carolina (I guess I can drop that habit), Minnesota, Louisiana, Florida etc. and yes, Alaska. Local papers give you a different idea of candidates than the national press since they have known candidates far longer and usually have a dedicated staff trolling the potential candidate. So of course I wanted to see how the Alaska main paper was looking at the Gov Palin announcement yesterday.
