    It is so sad to think of Gov Sanford's wife and children having to hear that rubbish on tv over and over and over.
    I wish FOX would take the high road and simply say he made a mistake and it is his burden to bear and FOX wishes to not make it worse for his family.

    Cool it, Greta!  This man is confessing from his soul.  He didn't have to do this.  He could have lied and lied.  Many others have done so.  And, still do so.

    In watching your segment today on Gov.  Sanford news, you definitely showed your liberal side.
    During the interview with the woman who was at the governor's announcement, you repeated the words "on and on and on and on'' at several different times when you were referring to the number of times (you think) he had his affair.
    I had to shut you off --   You should be working for the White House with your bias...You appeared happy this happened.
    Always knew you were a lefty.

    You let your moderate to liberal side take over with your conversation with Lamar Smith.
    When Republican Presidents address the nation the driveby media always allows the Democrats a chance to give their side of the issue. Since President Obama has taken office this has never been done. Except for Fox News the media appears to be in the pocket of the Obama Administration. They have refused to report anything negative about either of the Obamas since his address to the DNC in 2004. How about in a trial only the prosecution give a closing statement, after all the jury will have the chance to review all evidence in the Jury room, so the defense dosen't really need to give a closing statement right

    Here is why I disagree with you about the ABC Obama coverage. The people who needed to take the time to think about the opposing views to our President's health plan before jumping on his bandwagon avoid Fox News. Most of the other news outlets are more likely to analyze the President's presentation than they are to sit and think about the points he made.
    Fox News viewers believe in fairness. so we will consider President Obama's perspective. However, judging by my family, friends and community, the people who believe everything they are told by the President are not predisposed to seek out an alternate view. In fact, they are likely to sneer at just about anything aired on Fox News.
    I believe there is a better question to ask. In the time between now and when Congress votes on the health care bill, how many citizens believed before the ABC covereage that Obama's health care plan is too costly" Of that group,how many of them will rationalize that the greater cost is worth their discomfort? Of the ones who do, how many of those will have bothered to seek opposing views from any news source? That group of people should have heard opposing views when President Obama presented his case. They were the viewers Obama targeted quite successfully by allowing ABC to broadcast from the White House.

    Dear Ms. van Susteren,
    Although I like so much of your show, you are just wrong about this idea that having the opportunity to "dissect" the "full plan" outweighs the negatives of the infomercial.
    Millions of people will make a decision on nationalised health care as a result of this evening's infomercial.  Unlike the infomercials one sees on cable during the late night and early morning hours, ABC's sycophancy will not carry a disclaimer.  Nor will these millions hear FNC's careful dissection tomorrow (as for an honest analysis by MSNBC -- I assume you're kidding).  Thus, they will come away believing that they have seen an honest analysis.  (Just as hundreds of thousands believe a New York Times poll, not knowing that Obama voters were sampled 2-1 over McCain voters.)
    Compare this to the millions that saw a restrained, moderate, never intemperate Obama during the debates; they didn't see the FNC shows or read the Weekly Standard stories that warned of the coming unbridled leftist extension of government power.  No, instead they believed they were voting for a fiscally conservative, non-tax-raising moderate.
    Some years ago a commercial had a tautologous tag line:  You never get a second chance to make a first impression.  As a result of ABC's most unethical behavior, millions will not get a second chance to look at a most noxious idea.  And no amount of subsequent analysis by policy wonks will change that.
    And that is why you are wrong about this one, Ms. van Susteren.
