Email from PETA: setting record straight

Check out the email I just received.  I wanted to quickly get it up on GretaWire so that PETA could respond to our report last night.  (By the way, his casual reference to Mitch Snyder below in his email is a "flash from the past" -- yes, like President Obama, I have a history of community work which is why I feel very comfortable holding the President's feet to the fire on many controversial topics.  Mitch Snyder started the big homeless shelter in DC years ago and it is named after him.  I have not been on the sidelines on community work, and civil rights.)

    Subject: From Bruce at PETA:

Hey Greta, Bruce from PETA here. We bonded over our mutual history with Mitch Snyder, who brought me to D.C. to run a soup kitchen 20 years ago.

Anyway, it’s just not true that PETA are “up in arms” over the bug thing. We have said explicitly that this is not a big deal, just proves that the President is not the Buddha, you know?

Can you give me a ring to chat about this, please, and clarify on the air? I’m at *******

Thanks very much Greta. I hope you’re doing well.

    Bruce
