I know you all like news....and that you all like cable news. From reading all your comments over the years, I suspect you are closet producers/journalists.
A recent New York Times story reported how Fox News Channel is much more successful than MS/NBC and CNN. MS/NBC and CNN are now both struggling and struggling to beat each other.
MS/NBC recently took over CNN in some ratings category ... read more
UPDATE 2:06pm / Friday -- my apple email still does not work. I can send but not receive emails.

For more than 24 hours my Apple email account was down (some problem on Apple's end.). I hope the President's economic plan is wise. I want it to succeed. I don't think we will know of its success or failure until at least the end of the year. But I want to know, if you think the President's plan is unwise, blog what specific plan YOU would implement if you were President. It is not enough to disagree - you need an alternative plan...so blog! ... read more
It is reported that Justice Souter wants to leave the Supreme Court because he doesn't like Washington. I don't care if he stays or goes, but this is an odd reason...especially coming from a guy who gets a vacation away from Washington from June 30 until October 1. And don't kid yourself, he can do lots of his Oct-June work remotely since there are not oral arguments every single day of the week ... read more

He was convicted of one the most cruel acts - he shot American Leon Klinghoffer, an American passenger confined to a wheelchair...and ... read more
While attention is focused on the swine flu and its possible ground zero of Mexico, did you know the Mexican authorities just arrested 12 of their own federal investigators? Why? Suspicion that they leaked info to hit men who then ambushed (murdered) 8 officers. The arrested/detained work for Mexico's equivalent of our FBI. I know it is "fighting words" to describe Mexico as a "failed state" -- ... read more
Apparently we can't call it "swine flu" (but I will.). The politically correct term is now "influenza A (H1N1). Check out the WHO home page.."From today, WHO will refer to the new influenza virus as influenza A (H1N1)." The CDC and the White House has followed suit..no more "S-word!) ... read more
(This is tongue in cheek about getting thrown out!) I just reminded my husband (after discussing VP Biden's remarks about planes and subways) that I have very recently been on many planes, many trains and even to Mexico (with Secretary of State Clinton!) If cable news scares people any more, my family and friends may demand I wear a hazmat suit around them. As an aside - it is hard in cablenews to ... read more
