Wow! Check out the email from NYT Bill Carter to an ON THE RECORD at 10pm viewer (I removed both email addresses.) The email from Carter to the viewer was sent to me from the viewer. I don't know the viewer. The viewer had apparently emailed Carter (I did not ask that the viewer do this) and complained about the unfairness of Carter's writing about ON THE RECORD at 10pm (scroll back to earlier today where you see what I blogged.)
Looks like the viewer smoked out some bias and hostility on the part of Carter towards Fox New Channel! Check this out

Excellent rendition of fox talking points! Perhaps u should become an operative for their mass email campaigns! I'd point out the inanity of your position, esp abt greta (she has won in total viewers NOT the category I specified which was the area news sponsors buy on). But somehow I get the feeling facts do not penetrate the parallel universe conservatives have chosen to inhabit--you know, the one where fox is "fair and balancedm"
As an aside, and even though I now hope to put this issue to rest about our/ON THE RECORD continued success at 10pm, I thought I would post the most recent ratings in this blog entry in case Mr. Carter is reading GretaWire. It shows how hard our team of 12 people for ON THE RECORD at 10pm work. Here are the ratings at 10pm for Friday night. Note it is in thousands so, for instance, 1,879,000 homes watched ON THE RECORD on Friday night to 680,000 for CNN.
and in the carved area that Mr. Carter NOW wants to say he meant with his sloppy work, check out the numbers. Our team does very well! You will notice that ON THE RECORD at 10pm MORE THAN DOUBLED CNN on Friday night. From reading Mr. Carter's hostile note, I know it kills him that our show is doing so well. As for me? I am proud of our team.
PS - Bill Carter started this. I did not. I am merely responding to what he wrote -- in the New York Times this morning and in his hostile email to a viewer. I will defend my team. Each time he does this, I will respond.
