Sen Durbin said Burris will be sworn in on Thurs. Durbin had a conversation with Burris. He described him as" stunned...he is so excited". He will be sworn in before Barack Obama. That "has been his dream" . Durbin was asked if he would support him in 2010. "We'll have to wait and let Mr Burris decide if he's running", Durbin responded. Also, Trish asked Durbin if the cloud of Blago would hover over him.
Durbin replied that the "burden was really on Roland Burris."
