My FNC colleague Mike Tobin - on the front lines in Israel/Gaza - just emailed this (see below).....this is really meant for you:
Hey Greta,
I appreciate all of the supportive comments from your readers re: the difficult situation with my co-worker Nael in Gaza.
For those of you who did not read the blog yesterday, my point man in Gaza is Nael Ghaboun. He has contributed greatly to the news you receive out of Gaza. His wife Nancy, an American citizen, was injured when an Israeli Naval ship fired artillery at a home next to theirs.
Nacy has not gotten out of the Gaza strip. She was refused treatment at the overwhelmed hospital because her injuries are not life threatening.
Without a sophisticated diagnosis, Nael tells me she has shrapnel wounds and a broken leg. At the moment they intend to keep her at the house where the extended family can care for her and help care for their toddler Hadi.
I've passed along some of your well wishes to Nael, he appreciates them.
As for the coverage: One of my contacts with The Israeli Army called me today and said "You gotta see this." Hidden in one of the emergency aid shipments supposed to go into the Gaza strip during the 3 hour lull in fighting, were 38 pallets of camo uniforms, green military sweaters and black fatgigues.
