Subject: Can you help this young Marine?

    Greta,

I received this email from my sister who lives in Colorado. We are both Fox News addicts and we believe that you would be able to at least get his story out. Is there any chance you could contact the President of United Airlines to ask for some help for this young man?

    God bless!

    -----------------------------

I just heard a very sad story about one of our brave men in uniform. Corporal Brandon Spears, a U. S. Marine, stationed at Twentynine Palms, CA, borrowed a large laptop bag to transport gifts for his family and friends as he left for his Christmas furlough. He drove from California to Las Vegas to save money on his flight to Denver . When he boarded the plane on December 20, he intended to put the bag of gifts in overhead storage above his seat; therefore, he didn't put an identifying tag on the bag. In the borrowed bag, he was carrying a Garmin GPS, a Play Station II, and two Nintendo DS's. Soon after boarding the plane, he discovered that the bag would not fit in the overhead compartment. Seeing the trouble he was having, a (United Airlines) flight attendant offered to take his bag up front and keep it for him there. On his way out, he stopped to ask the attendant for his bag. This is the unbelievable part -- the bag was gone! The sad fact is that the airline is not responsible for unchecked bags.

Thank you for anything you can do for this Marine.

If you need further information I will be happy to contact my friend who told me this story. She knows this Marine personally.
